Differences between Alastor and Black Hat: • Black Hat, mostly he's grumpy and Alastor Is always charming • Black Hat is way more edgy and misterious than Alastor • the way they treat people, Alastor Is mostly polite and Black Hat is cruel. Similarities between them: • they're both into style and class uwu • they're both powerful • both have amazing voices • both smile a lot (just that BH doesn't always and Al always does because he thinks not smiling is weakness) • both wear red and black • they're both very cool B) • they're both bored and try to entertain themselves (Black Hat with the Organization and Al will the hotel) • their creators are Latin Americans :D • they're both aro/ace (well, Black Hat's sexuality isn't confirmed but he hates love and affection so ig he is?) So... If they ever meet each other they will be frienemies, they will try to kill each other because there can be only one (got the reference?) But they will get along because of their similarities. I honestly love both equally, they're my favorite villains OwO Edit: omg this comment is so old, don't mind the owo that was just a phase. Btw it turns out that Alastor isn't that powerful compared to other characters from the same hazbin hotel/helluva boss universe and on the other hand BH is supposed one of the most (if not THE most) powerful creature of them all so idk, just wanted to point that out lol. I also love how they Alastor is the first human who is also an overlord. People say its because he's from Louisiana and he was also into VooDoo (i.e the symbols that show up when Alastor brings Husker to the Hotel)

And when he defeated Sir Pentious you can see that he drops a small drop of blood from his hand (you can do voodoo too with blood)

Alastor may showcase his powers more, but if you skim through the episode normally, you might miss two key details that give Black Hat the win here. 1: When he fucking destroys Sir Pentious, you can see his under eyes, which means that the power he uses tired him out, thus making the quote “Well, I’m starved!” make sense here. 2: If you look through his backstory, you can hear Vaggie say “That kind of raw power had never been harnessed by a _MORTAL SOUL_ before...” That means that Alastor may be powerful, but he is still mortal. However, Black Hat has shown to destroy entire planets in an animation. Since that planet seems slightly bigger than Earth by comparison, that would make that blast that Black Hat made would be equivalent to *10 quintillion nukes.* At the _least,_ Black Hat would be doing 300 million megatons if TNT, which is far better than of what we’ve seen with Alastor. Even if Alastor DID have enough power to do this, it would’ve tired him out greatly, since, as I’ve covered already, his own power tires him out when he uses it. If Black Hat could use this kind of power and walk away with no stress or fatigue or even the slightest bit of tiredness, then this means that Black Hat far surpasses Alastor in terms of power. Black Hat also exclusively said that whenever someone says his name, people die, which is a famous trait for demons, such as the urban legend “Bloody Mary.” Not to mention the organization itself! He’s helped many, many, *MANY* villains in his life. Including, but not limited to, Aku, Mojo Jojo, and even Cthulhu, which we’ve seen in the “Anniversary” video where you can see the frame covering up a large portion of the video due to his sheer size. Keep in mind, AKU is the “Lord Of Darkness”, as he says, and we’ve seen how powerful HE is. If HE bows before Black Hat, then who doesn’t?

One more things that proof that Lord BH is more powerful. In the episode “villain orientation: Ribofraven's lost case”, is featuring a magisword that the organization itself created, which was based on Lord BH, this sword can literally destroy a plane with a single shot. this means that BH is much more capable than destroying just one planet or three. And he, himself, confirmed that he destroyed many, many universe and as well slave and even more (BH is not the type how likes to talk about himself). And the episode “ villains orientation: the park's lost cases”, where he presents Malum kranus, the anti-popsicle, that he literally can restart the universe fighting against his opposite brother, he was literally subjugated by Lord BH, kneeling at his feet with a lot of fear, and the popsicle says that “I feel that all the world's evil is concentrated in one place” and then was thrown into the sun by Lord BH. And Alan Ituriel (the creator of Villainous) confirmed that BH can do anything (except, create live) when comes from power, and he can change size on the cosmic level, confirming more that he is powerful and should not be underestimated.

I love the difference between these two Black Hat is a retired villain but he's still not to be fucked with, has a short fuse at times and gets really impatient aswell, but he is pretty strong compared to Alastor (in my opinion) Where as Alastor doesn't work or have workers, he toys with his victims and is (as Vaggy told us) a mortal who is also an overlord in hell (very powerful demons) but Alastor is great at manipulation. His organization has millions of well known villains across Cartoon Network, including multiple versions of the devil and an omnipotent demon lord, Aku from Samurai Jack. If those kinds of villains fear Black Hat, then there’s no doubt that his power dwarfs those who are the lords of Hell. Alastor may have topples overlords, too, but in terms of people? Black Hat has a wall of photos of past satisfied clients. One of those photos/clients is Cthulhu. So yeah, BH is so powerful and influential that Cthulhu himself sought out his aid. Also, I have heard Black Hat be described as an eldritch being who successfully managed to conquer the entire Earth and ruled it with an iron fist until he got bored of it. Then he downsized to an organization dedicated to helping other up and coming villains struggling with their evil plans.

In terms of raw power i think black hat takes the cake. I only say that because on the fandom wiki he’s basically titled as the main antagonist of all cartoon network. Which means in a sense hes above all of there power levels. Including EH HEM, ben 10. And for those of you who dont know, ben 10 is easily one of if not the most powerful character in cartoon network history. Black hat also killed anti pops and for those who dont know the regular show lore. Anti pops has a 24 pack of abs and can erase anyone he wants in the form of glitchs. However black hat appears before pops and him enter the sun and he takes pops and throws him in the sun then takes anti pops and feeds him to a monster and has his head crushed under its teeth. Anti pops also bowed to lord black hat. Pops is final words before dying were “it feels as though all the evil in the world is condensed into this one place in time” or something like that.

I have nothing against Alastor, but I prefer Black Hat. There is no way to compare these two because they are completely different beings, and I respect Alastor for his strength. Here's what I know about Black Hat, and why I choose him. English isn't my first language. Black Hat is an ancient cosmic being as old as time, and currently a retired villain. He can manipulate space and he has a medley of terrifying powers. He is the overarching villain of the entire Cartoon Network multiverse - he is Aku's superior and the root of all evil that happens in other cartoons such as Gumball, OK K.O to name a few. He is possibly the incarnation of evil and is not supposed to be liked. Black Hat fakes a charismatic demeanour because he is a 'businessman', otherwise he is just a terrifying being with absolutely no human quality/personality. Villains consult Black Hat for help, sign a contract with him and he gets their souls in return. This is the interesting part in my opinion - villains are universally considered evil. You can be the judge. Now let's talk about the currently closest man to Black Hat. Just to show how despicable Black Hat is - he mistreats Flug (dude with paper bag head) physically and mentally daily for his own entertainment. Black Hat isn't just a boss to him, Flug worships him and endures the mistreatments. I've heard him call Black Hat 'mi todo' (my everything), among other 'endearing' nicknames like 'jefecito chulo' (I can't directly translate this) but you don't call your boss jefecito unless you are very very fond of him. I believe this is mostly because Flug fears for his life and throws compliments in a pathetic attempt to appease Black Hat - but it works because he is probably Black Hat's least hated worker. That's just how much Black Hat loves being glorified. To sum up, Black Hat is not meant to be liked. The irony is that - this is why I love his character. He is so well written, and the fact that he is an evil, ancient being trying to look as human as possible, is amazing. Black Hat does not need to show his powers, because it's already obvious. His powers extend beyond the human realm. Finally, a proper villain.
