I loved this at first listen. So glad they won FiK. I read a comment they entered FiK to promote their work and future album, without any expectation to win. And now they are going to Eurovision. This story reminds that the case of Konstrakta at PZE 2022.

What I love about Eurovision is hearing new sounds coming from different cultures and this gives me that so much. I genuinely love the melody it flows so nicely and it's quite strong and she is everything, she is GIVING everything for this performance so much charisma from her in a song where its hard to show that charisma. In Basel with hopefully a more modernised and polished stage performance in terms of camera quality, angles and other aspects I genuinely see this getting to the final.

The Albanian Magica de Spell throwing a fire spell, yes, I really like it! Heard it first time three days ago and this morning I had to listen to it first time in the morning. Very infectious, very intense even if it’s a little minimalist as far as chord progression goes. Hope the reception is more like Shum or In Corpore Sano than Ulveham or Eaea…😊

I love this song! The chorus is so catchy and authentic as well! And indeed, it reminds me of 90s Eurovision in the best way possible (but obviously with a modern twist) I can see some similarities with Sebnem Paker - Dinle (Turkiyë 1997)

My impression is that the Balkan states always tend to send very beautiful women with very beautiful dresses singing either ballads or dance bops with very powerful voices. That's why any song that goes another direction is more than welcome for me and I am indulgent.

Usually not the biggest fan of Albanian entries (not my style I guess), but I really like this one. This will stand out. It's memorable. Maybe not melodically, but there is something in it, definitely.

Man im sad, i really thought youd love this. Giving Besa 7.5 and this a 7 is just a bit dissapointing knowing how amazing, unique, special and never been done before Zjerm is. I find calling this a 90s track a bit dissapointing since its so modern electronic yet ethnic at the same time in my head. I really think this is the best Albanian entry of the past 10 years by far.
@kennet7837Күн бұрын
This is already my favorite Albanian entry, just behind "Mall" from 2018. Thankfully they have said they will keep it in Albanian.
@sarahenchantedКүн бұрын
I love that you mentioned that it seems like a 90s Eurovision performance because there's an edit on twitter going around that makes this performance look like it's from FIK in 2000 What I like about it is it's "accessible" to non Albanians/Kosovars (or people who aren't privy to that side of Europe in general) but isn't trying to be and is very authentic. 99% sure the staging will be very different at Eurovision (or at least an upgraded version of this) and I'm SO excited to see what they come up with.
@Zakarias89Күн бұрын
I just rewatched some competitions from the 90's and I don't know if songs used to have this level of quality back then. I think this sounds better than most entries back then in comparison

I think this is good musical arrangement the groups name is their home town in 🇦🇱 shkodrer and the title of their song is fire! Which they bring and the arm movement I think is to do with the eagle on the Albanian flag.

I really liked the combination of Albanian folk music with this electronic sound.I find that quite unique and intriguing tbh and I think that it’s one of my favorite Albanian entries ever. I surely see this in top 10. (I believe that if u listen to this 2-3 times it will grow on you, as it did on me)🫶🏻

I’ve always agreed with your thoughts and analysis of entries but I have to disagree with you on this one. It’s captivating from the start with the percussions, the strings and most of all her vocals and stage presence. This was a 10/10 for me. But I still love your channel. You can be wrong once in a while. LOL.

If Eurovision fandom carries this to the final, I think it can do pretty well. Without the help, I fear it might be stranded in the semis.

I love this and so glad it won FiK63. I’ve heard a third voice might be added but I don’t think it needs it? It offers something mysterious and exotic which I really hope is appreciated at Eurovision 2025. It’s a 9/10 for me ❤🇦🇱

I liked this one. I think it has the quality of catching you immediately and it's intriguing enough to make you stay and listen. That's not an unimportant quality in Eurovision, so I think it could do reasonably well. I'm thinking between 10-12 on the final result list?

You should definitely listen to the studio version as well. Some really nice electronic elements that can’t really be translated by a live orchestra. It’s a very zany and unique entry. Also, I really disagree about juries appreciating this. They have no originality and will ignore it.
@nick3805Күн бұрын
I think they have much Work to do on the Performance, but the Song itself is surprisingly good. I think this can do well with Juries and Public if done right. She has the Charisma and Vocals to carry the Song while the Contrast female-male, singing-speaking, cheerful-stoic provides Variation. This is how you do Eurovision, Montenegro! Take Notes (and next Time try to solve Non-Issues fast enough for your actually interesting Act not to retreat).

Thank you for your profound and adult reactions, even when I disagree sometimes. Last year it was the UK I could not follow your analysis and enthusiasm. This time nothing to disagree. Except that I´m a bit more enthousiastic. I love the beginning that reminds me of "Every way that I can". And some elements of "Zjerm" are similar th Go_A´s "Shum" if you have ever listened to the orchestrated version they performed for the ucraine independance day 2021. Both of them no bad refernces. Best regards from a Berlin based musician.

This is certainly a fine entry although I do think Albania had a far more competitive track in their national selection. I can't help but feel this sort of song may be blanked a little by the majority of viewers (which, of course, is mostly non-Eurovision fans) next May, but we'll wait and see.

I really enjoy this though I don’t think the construction is perfect for Eurovision. Amongst the instrumental we only have verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse (albeit different form), pre-chorus, chorus. The lengthy sections could turn people off maybe. But this is a great sound from Albania, don’t you dare revamp into English!
