I have been in Albania last year on vacation. For the very first time. Tirana, Berat, Korca, Girokastra, Saranda and more in the South and back to Tirana. It was wonderful and amazing, the countryside, the cities and the nice people (!). I will come back in September this year for some days in Valbona Valley for hiking. Great country, GREAT PEOPLE! I was in Albania three times, in 1990, 1993 and 2002. The first two times as part of an aid operation. I saw how today's Albania developed from this maltreated country. Well, not everything is perfect, but that's not the case in Germany where I come from or in the USA either. But with its helpful, hospitable and motivated people, it will continue to develop. As a tourist you have everything in a small country, sea, especially mountains, pulsating cities, lakes, wild river valleys, remote villages where time has stood still and a lot of history. I recommend it to anyone looking for something like this.

I’m an Albanian living in USA and I would like to thank you from my heart for this wonderful video promoting my country. Albania has natural beauty and ppl are very hospital. Is county in development turning the new page after 50 years isolation communist country is not easy, but changes are huge. Was born and raised in Tirana and when I go there I get lost. Drastically changes. It’s worthy to visit ppl tradition food beauty despise obstacles. Poverty area are in every country and it’s sad especially Albania is small country and there are not a lot of jobs which needs to be created but it’s more oriented in tourism . Needs to develop industry so our ppl can stay there and not trying to migrate. Thank you again and by the way you guys are lovely.

What a video cannot convey is how it feels in Albania. There is a wealth of time and the feeling level is so warm and grounded. My favourite part of Albania is coffee. I can order one drink at a cafe and sit with the Albanians for hours. No rush. Just being present.

@@goingtoworld I want to share a small story, I had this beautiful conversation with a person on the KZbin comments section 4 years ago, we became friends online after that, she was from Kosovo, after a year, we fell in love and started to date virtually, it was difficult for us to meet because my country didn't recognise her country (India and Kosovo) and also COVID happened, but the universe made it possible and we both travelled and met for the first time in Turkey. We spent our days together there, Hotair balloons rides, cave hotels, walked the streets of Istanbul, laughing and sharing beautiful stories, enjoying it's rich culture and food, and even cried when we had to separate again to our own countries, I travelled again for her, all the way to Albania this time (it was visa free for Indians and was very close for her from Kosovo), so yes to answer your question, I had a fantastic time there, Albania holds a special place in my heart for this. ♥️ Also, I hope one day both of yall would visit India, and share your travel experience. Visit LAÇ (Kurbin) San Antonio Catholic Church in Laç city and you will like a lot ! As well 10km from Laç is most visited lagoon and nicest fish house in Patok lagoon (Laç city area ) Very amazing place and mostly visited by Germans and Nordics this area
