I visited Albania in 2001 with my Albanian husband, who wanted to show me his country. We travelled around for about 10 months and lived in rural countryside. It was still quite difficult re living as little or no power, road surface problems and lack of shops and food. However, it was the most life changing thing ive ever done and I learnt about myself more. I owe that to Albania and have since promoted its culture and beauty ever since, regardless of others opinions. I'm so please to see it shine again and hope many more visit and learn about the history and culture, and help to unearth its true origins and ultimate place in ancient history.

Despite of obstacles is worthy to visit for its natural beauty, culture beautiful and hospitality ppl and food. I miss my home town born and raised in Tirana. I live in Michigan since 1997 so I get lost in Tirana And vlora where we spent our yearly vacations. It is changing every day. Sending hugs and ❤

albania in 1991 got 50k tourist in 2000 got 800,000 and in 2022 got 7milion tourist and in 2023 its going 10-15 mil all year ! Albania has sea mountain and cultural ancient tourism as well has many parks nationals 🎉

@@worldwildhearts you are wright ! and to not forget that albania population is just 2.8 milion and 55% of albanians has double citisenz EU and albania so 55% mostly live in west , and 33% in italy this is why albania food taste like italy of balkans due to the advantage that for 3-4decades albanian chefs learn the food and tourism industry from Italy ! Albania infrastructure will bring in my opinion a number of 15-20mil tourist all year ! and the beautiful part is that albania has 78-80% of area mountain relief , albanian harsh geography and mountain makes them the symbol of goat , these mountain were impossible to be taken from all invasors that attack albanian from serbs turks roman , every time albania was taken was just the field and west part due to relief but mountain area is pure yllirian albanian inherited and old genetic preserved due to difficulty of historic albanian enemies to take ! for example in every war that albanian scanderbeg does to ottomans with a number 10,000 albanian vs 200,000 ottomans albanian scanderbeg tactic was to trick enemies in mountain area relief and all of them face death , not a confrontment in the fields but in mountain and goats eagles etc have mountain caracteristics so i would say all enemies that entered in war trying to conquer albanian mountain and alps were beaten becouse even in albanian yllirian myth the mountain has the called "ora e malit" and this saves just their people ! so albania potential we see is the seacost and 3 big cities expanding tourism but albania 80% of mountain relief and pure fresh air and nature spirits its the new strong point to bring tourists 365/365 all year !
