ottimo documento. i video non propagandistici di quell'epoca sono pochi, poiché i privati cittadini non possedevano telecamere. Quelle immagini vivono nella nostra memoria, però avere un documento audiovisivo è rinfrescante :)

Yes, the people was very friendly. They lived in a soft world, without big stress, of course some freedomless was there.

They had nothing to lose, they were already lost people... that probably explains the happiness.

@@robvar51 The only stress back then was to be able to bring a loaf of bread to the table. Sometimes, many times, the ones that produced the bread did not have enough for their families. This video is a great reminder where we were, and why we are as we are today. Communism in a way is worse than slavery - in slavery, one could buy his way out to liberty - in communisms you only could "buy" your way into slavery. There was no escape out, there was no escape in - if you tried to get out you most certainly would be the next victim on the barbed wire shot by the communist party's soldiers - the way in was just a languished death for many - yes, some were able to climb up upon thousands broken backs... those who do not accept this are either oblivious of what happened in communist Albania, or people who's conscience was tormented long enough to live like those with Stockholm syndrome and not waking-up from that. Happy New Year!

@@robvar51 I think hunter and gatherers did not have stress, apart from trying to get some food to eat... Albanians under communism were turned into hunter & gatherers...hoxha's regime confiscated all material goods from people so they would be dependent on the government rations... similar to what north korea does... as a young student I could not comprehend why I had to read text-books that taught me things that did not make sense in life --- like - love communist party more than yourself, or love your communist friends more than your family... in every text book in grade school children were fed lies about the "leader"... what's worse is that communist dictatorship in Albania created the "new man" (not the Nietzschean, albeit similar, but this one was communist who would kill his family for the "party" - People who are born between 1945 - 1985 are super-indoctrinated- they can't get over the past - they are brainwashed in schools, military barracks (men and women), collective meetings - the central and local government would set townhall meetings each month where people were asked to point-out who did not achieved the metrics set by communist party and shame them publicly, and many times sentence them with prison time, and some others would be shot dead if they said something wrong - as laughable as it sounds today - prison was the minimum you could get if you complained that there is not enough food, I know someone who went to jail because he said there are no potatoes left in the store... and my father's cousins were shot dead by the government because they wrote a poem about how Albania looked like a desert - some one in the communist writers' guild told the communist security that they were being cynical - so they government killed them just before the fall of communism - Albania was a 28000km2 forced labor camp. Today, polit-bureau favorite children are governing Albania - actually better than that - the last communist interior minister is the speaker of Albanian parliament "working hard to democratize Albania" for which he worked so hard to communisticize (if that is a word), and in doing so he ordered police to kill young demonstrators as late as 1991 - other government ministers are linked in many ways with maf!a gangs and have taken part actively in illegal activities internally and throughout Europe. - but they are all "forgiven" because they are socialist and they work day and night for the "betterment" of the Albanian people.

Buongiorno. Presumo che il filmato grosso modo e fato dalle parti sudovest del paese vedendo citta di bButrinti e mar'jonio, pero dove ce la festa del matrimonio credo che sia dalle mie parti, cio l'Albania centrale latto ovest tra Durazzo-Kavaja, vedendo pure i alberi di olive.

Certi comunisti internazionali furono permesso di entrare in Albania durante la dittatura. Video probabilmente sarebbero stati cercati e modificati prima di lasciare il paese, e come nel caso qui non c'era un'agenda politica, quindi la polizia di sicurezza avrebbe permesso che tali video uscissero perché per loro questo "mostra quanto felici vivono gli albanesi"... Il regime era sull'orlo del collasso e la polizia di sicurezza non ha avuto il tempo di controllare i vestiti di tutti per la stretta osservanza delle regole ... era l'ora in cui Ceausescu veniva (o sarebbe stato) ucciso dalla folla a Bucarest ... Per noi, TV Italiana (RAI) era l'unica finestra da cui potevamo vedere l'ovest, e sognare che un giorno la cupola comunista cadrà. Grazie per la registrazione del 1989. Era un tempo in cui il regime comunista in Albania, come in altre parti d'Europa, era negli ultimi giorni, ma comunque come una bestia ferita poteva ucciderti. La povertà era ovunque - in effetti l'Albania è un paese povero ora, nonostante alcuni progressi nei 30 anni dopo il crollo del comunismo. Che vergogna per tutti noi aver perso la nostra giovinezza a causa di un regime così odioso ... vivevamo allo stesso modo come vivono le persone in Corea del Nord ora. Oggi il governo è corrotto, ma almeno gli albanesi possono sgattaiolare fuori dal paese e costruire un futuro migliore altrove.
