I actually have this on VHS...wow, i gotta look for this tape...i love the dance, very elegant to traditional folk dance. Even if it is all ballet type, they really do a nice job to it, but these type of dances have lost their ways....Thanks for this video, brings back memories.

If balkan slavs could embrace tgeir oun true slav culture and not Albanian's culture.Their traditional dresses,songs andare dances copied from Albania and Greece.They are slavs and don't have anything to do with this unique illyrian culture.The reason the say that they are illyrian too is that they used to marry native balcan people and got some mighty DNA of modern civilization.

@@zzzr6765 Unlike Poles - Albanian have indigenous (paleo-balkanic) names for these pants. _That's_ the big difference between Slavs and Albanians wearing these clothes. Also there are paintings of these shorts; making it quite obvious, that these pants were present in Balkan before Christ. Before R1a haplogroup carring slavic tribes migrated into Balkan (after Christ) and absorbed/assimilated Paleo-Balkanic ppl (such as Illyrian and Thracians). But South-Slavs are culturally and genetically not only Slavs - but have also an paleo-balkanic admixture. This however gives South-Slaves no right to claim paleo-balkanic traditions/genetics/culture/clothing to claim as "slavic". In Poland these pants that you mentioned are mostly worn by Vlachs; which certainly influenced polish culture. As Slavs were not only influencing others - but gained also influence. The Vlachs (or "Aromanians") are pretty much a conservative form of a Romanian. And Romanians have these pants also - AND a cognate for the albanian word "tirqe" (that's how we call them). Not all Slavs have the same traditional clothes - so do the math now!
