People my first name is Gerald and middle is Lee that comes from my fathers side. I'm about 1/2 Creek Indian also and that comes from my mothers side. As you can see from my pic I was in the military, infantry in Iraq. After about a month you become numb to the destruction, you did not worry about being killed. What could you, do about it, but this music does something for me. It calms me in a way, hell I haven't figured out myself.

I had the opportunity to see Albannach in Edinburgh on the Tartan Festival in 2008 and I tell you. these guys are AMAZING. You can feel the energy, the power they transmit to everybody and everything. I bought the CD and from the first to the last track nothig is bad. The CD finish and you still waiting more and more. I hope they still in this excellent mood and making new records. May be I will be the first Spanish fan for this band

They performed at the Old English Ren Faire in Peoria Il at Jubilee College State Park the week before this show and were awesome. Everyone loved them. They were unbelieveable and had huge crowds at each show.

They are cool as hell. I have some of their CDs. They sometimes perform at the Highland Games in Glasgow, KY & they invite people on stage to play with them sometimes. I had my tambourine & was dragged onstage. It was probably drowned by the drums but I didn't care. I was happy as a lark. I had blisters on my hands after playing.

+Irv Sheffey I would say its contemporary.I am irish though this is scottish there is a lot of to and fro between the 2 folk music styles.The pipes are traditional so is the kilts,but i think its new just like river dance is new even though irish step dancing is over 200 years old.
