Albany man's dream to help houseless takes shape with 'Sleep Trailers'

Cities across the Northwest are trying to find solutions to the homeless crisis, and one man from Albany says he's found one.

1) who pays for it, 2) where is it going to be parked 3) who will be checking on rapes going on in these pods , 4) who will be responsible for moving these homeless out when they make it into permanent housing, 5) who will be responsible for checking dead bodies from overdose?

1. We're already going to be paying millions for these six mass camps. 2. The same spaces they intend to put these mass camps 3. This question is slightly strange. I guess the people/security the city are going to be paying anyway. What do u want them to do go pod to pod every hour to ask if anyone is being raped??? 4. Again the same people/security the city is going to hire anyway for the mass camps. 5. Same answer.

There are a lot of unused space around, church parking lots could help. This will have to become part of the solution. People will also have to humble themselves,stop whining, and help as well...btw..you can't outlaw "existing".

The idea is good, but it is destined to fail. Help will only go as far as those that are willing to receive it. You will have break-ins, vandalism, fires, fights etc etc. Hopefully you have good liability insurance. I can just images a tweaked out homeless dude messing with the heater and leaving the whole thing in a pile of ashes, or stumbling out of the 2nd floor and cracking his head open in the middle of the night. Some people might consider my opinion a pessimistic view, but it’s not, it’s realistic. You have to consider what will REALLY happen in these, not what you want to happen.

First you need a parking spot. And a truck to move it. Doesn't solve anything. Does enable something this city is trying to outlaw.
