I love this battle Miles and Albany did an amazing job! And I love the unity I seen in other videos. I have a lot of respect for the staff at Miles. You don't see other bands getting together and enjoying music that's what it's all about it shouldn't be all this hate towards one another. Good Job Miles and Albany I loved both bands.

Miles is a very underrated program for young musicians but they are the real deal easily in top 5 hbcu bands out there. Coming from a NSU legion.

@prosnipes1 I respect you too brother. When you get older you see clearer. None emotionally but mathematically. Man you don't know how much I love seeing Miles College band take the lead in the SIAC in band. Maybe the others will catch on. Albany ain't too far behind. But you all are on your way. But money can become the issue. Look back at how Albany State band looked in 2006 2007 &2008. They were over 200. So was Miles. They both fell and I'm sure money was the issue. Miles recovered first. I hoe they can maintain it and keep growing. That's the difference with the more experienced bands. They have weathered these types of band storms. Well wishes to the Golden Bears on that issue. @Prosnipes1 you can't stop truth. No one is hating on MILES little band. Their growth is definitely applauded by me and many others. I just like to keep it where it is. Sometimes school spirit can blind you. If anyone is trying to compare apples with oranges then they have a problem eith their sight and hearing. Especially to a person who knows the difference. When you make certain statements on social media, Then you're open to correction by those who see differently. No necessity rightly, but of a difference in opinion. Again! MILES isn't in the same ball park with SU or JSU or many other bands. That takes decades to develop a program like above said school. Look at FAMU. They fell but are still better than most. Why? Because of experienced programs. It don't happen overnight just because you get a few extra horns. I've been listening to these bands for over forty years. SU has been a giant a long time, as JSU, FAMU BAMA STATE, BCU, etc. You don't get there overnight. Much Love Family. asurams kapsi spr 76.

But That will be a good battle cuz TC don't have good arrangements with they power but pv is smooth and powerful kinda like miles but pv has a dark powerful meac sound. That would be a battle SU or Pv!

Miles would take the w against su in my opinion because miles is way more cleaner and you can understand what each instrument is playing they more balanced the only thing su got on them is number and power musicality and balance goes to miles

@Michael Wright... I hear ya but I'm not listening. Miles and SU met in November 2002 and it was not a blowout and SU underestimated us back then and it would happen again believe. Hey, just cause some diamonds are older doesn't mean they stay polished??? (That's a double entendres btw) Nonetheless, my degrees and minors... (Working on the 5th right now) give me credibility like Miles has its credibility. A young, polishing program is in existence and that is PMM. Btw SU is the most consistent band, not most musical or best sounding... And I, like Miles, my alma mater, hand out L's to people all the time; to include: musicians, educated, uneducated, Greeks, Nupes... They are all the same. Being older is not better just experience and lol and experience doesn't mean you've learned a lesson or can teach either. Hell I teach doctors all the time. But to each his own... Let me know when you're looking for an L because Miles(Pmm) will not be taking one! Yo DT2005

+ZeusNupe I went with my brother to the SU vs TC Midnight madness battle, and SU was way too much for TC. I rep Alcorn, so I'm certainly not a biased fan. SU sounds AMAZING in person. It was an "OMG" moment for my brother, and I listening to SU. They truly are hard to beat. I feel their arrangements take them that far. Also, all bands are biased when it comes to their own band. IMO, feel only JSU has the ability to dethrone them, but it hasn't happen yet. AGAIN, this is MY unbiased opinion!

@Black Barbiedoll Beleive me I know a lil something about musicianship, have played with real professionals before, Joshua Redman and Brandon Marsalis to name a few... And Miles has played Southern before, November 2002, and it wasn't a blowout then and wouldn't be now, I do always applaud SU for being consistent in the stands and with their reportoire and power. However, there are bands that rival and topple them. Kings are not meant to reign forever and please don't give me the loud speech to Miles college... There are a lot of loud bands that overblown... SU is not the best sounding by no means... When it happens again (MILES vs SU) I will not recant my words at all.

ZeusNupe well I wasn't really commenting on Miles. I was commenting on the SU vs TC, and JSU battles. Southern was AMAZING. I've never experienced a Miles vs SU battle yet. I did see the Miles vs AAMU stand battle, and I must admit, Miles won that battle hands down. I honestly thought Miles was a SWAC band. I had chills all over my body when I heard Miles playing "Bhia Bhia". It was definitely powerful, and they meant straight business. They played with a 'vengeance, and I loved every minute of it. I love Miles, but they would need some pretty amazing arrangements when facing Southern. Like I said, "I'm a Alcorn alum, but I've always loved SU aggression, power and those amazing drills.
