Good review. Something to keep in mind regarding eye relief: Eye relief is determined by what is called the 'exit pupil'. That's the size of the beam of light that reaches your eye through ocular (rear) lens. The larger the exit pupil, the longer the eye relief of any scope. You can calculate the diameter of the exit pupil by dividing the objective (forward lens) size, in this case, 36mm, by the power. So, 36/5=7.2 mm exit pupil. For comparison, the AR332 (3x power, 32mm objective) is 32/3=10.7 mm. That's a 3.2mm larger beam of light exiting the rear of the 3x model scope. There is always a trade off for magnification. So, if you're willing to give up a little magnification you can go with the AR332 model and get a longer eye relief. Like I said, just something to consider. Thanks for the review!

***Lifetime Warranty *** He mentions a one year warranty, maybe when the video was made. But as of 12/17/2020, this scope has a lifetime warranty that is transferrable to the next owner, look at their website. I got this scope, I really like it, I guess it depends on your preference.

I don't have this particular scope, but I love the AR-332. I see complaints about eye relief a lot, but the famous ACOGs used by the military have 1.5-1.9" of eye relief. The 536 has 2.5-3.5" of eye relief, the Vortex Spitfire 3x has 2.8" of eye relief, the Primary Arms 5X prism scope has 2.5"-3" of eye relief. The sight is meant to be mounted even with the charging handle. One might have to adjust the stock a bit, but that's a very minor thing. I have yet to have a problem with eye relief on the 332 and it's the same as the 536, and pretty much all the other prism scopes out there. I like the 332 so much, I'm tempted to get the 536 for range extension.

Interesting. I was at bass pro comparing this scope next to the TA11 acog which is known for great eye relief and they both were on par with each other.

I have one and absolutely love it! I guess there could have been a little bit more eye relief, I had to add a lock tight to the 2 base screws too but it's been solid for 3 years now. Great scope!

I'm running this on my AR10. Great optic. I usually use the black reticle. I recommend you check the mount screws. (mine came loose) Other than that I was getting a great 3 shot grouping at 50 yards and at 100 yards easily duplicated. Good price for this one in my opinion.

Great video. Was going to pop on a brand new one for $240 after the rebate. But I am also 6'4" and cheek weld and comfort ability is paramount to me using my 20" HBAR with the carry handle. Think I'll get something else. If the eye relief was more forgiving I'd be all over this.

I've got a 20inch hbar barrel from Del ton with an a2 receiver I built. No freefloat was in the budget but its my dmr type rifle. I needed something with magnification and everything else no matter what mount (dnz or whatever) looked odd and placed scopes too high or too low for adjustable magnification. Choice made itself kinda. I already have a pa4x of the very first gen or a prototype as it has the Burris reticle. The pa4x had no can't and I love the thing great glass and idk how the illumination doesn't muddy up or enlarge the reticle which is something I've noticed in similar cheaper scopes. Primary arms has no warranty (1 year ain't shit) and the Burris had a lifetime plus 5x vs 4x for around the same price of 275. That choice makes itself. Ive had my pa4x for awhile now I can attest that these prism scopes are likely more durable than conventional scopes due to less moving parts and such. Besides acog this is the next best option. 1-4s or 1-6s in my budget aren't both eye open true 1xs again choice made itself. I think this is is more worth wild to us a2 owners I myself prefer having a permanent handle. I look at all my guns as if I was going to combat without the ability to change setup which is how it is under stressful situations you won't be granted time to get your rifle ready. PS I'm 6ft exact if I can get my sweet spot with an a2 stock its not totally impossible it may take time to feel comfortable I will admit as much

I have several of these optics on my ARs, and I am also 6'4". With the stock fully extended it is too far out for me, so there are no relief issues for me. For the price this optic is untouchable. If you want magnification (a must for me) go for this scope. My DD AR shoots out a dime at 100 yards with this scope. $320.00 on ebay. Talk about bang for the buck... For close range I have added a Burris fast fire III to the top rail. Is it as nice as a $1700 scope? No, but it does the job very well, and allows me to have one for each rifle. Looks bitchen too...

I love mine and is comparable to my Trijicon, aside from illumination. Eye relief isn't that bad at all, even have my BUIS under the eyepiece. No problem with stock two clicks back. normally I shoot with nose to CH. Mounted a FF3 on top and added a killflash. I will be getting another for my other AR's. remember, eye relief is 2.5-3.5", my Trijicon is 1.5" I believe so I have no problems. get one!

I paid $190 for mine last month. Overstock had the 332 for $260 and the 536 for $290. Burris has a rebate for $100 on either and my rebate just came. It is decent, but your need to have that stock collapsed since the major downside with this is the short eye relief. Burris was claiming up to 3.5" but they took that off their marketing material because it is a bogus claim. More like 2" max As far as cant off a couple of degrees I don't have that problem, but the illumination is not good in several respects: a) it shows through the front b) at even the lowest setting is a very large and very bright reticle meaning the low light situations where you want a lit reticle kill your ability to see a target.

As a comparison/data point for you, I have a Aimpoint Micro H-1 on a LaRue LT660 lower 1/3 mount with a Burris AR Tripler with QD pivot mount. Less weight of course, however, more cheddar. I have noticed the eye relief issue even on the AR Tripler. I suspect it's inherent in the magnification design Burris is producing. I also noticed I may have wished to get the Larue LT751 (absolute co-witness) since most things you would like to mate with don't offer a taller 1/3 co-witness mount.

Looking at the specs they both have pretty much the same eye relief. I am wondering if his size just made this not work out for him. I am thinking he would have to go with an EOTECH for unlimited relief up close and use the 3X for distance. That combo should be pretty close to where his eye is at to make the relief not an issue. I am getting my first AR 15 in about 3 weeks, just ordered today. But am planning on getting this scope with the Fastfire II mounted on top. Going to take my set up in to Bass Pro shop and mount this, if it looks good with the eye relief I am going with it, if not I will probably have to go the EOTech Combo

Well, I could not get past the craning of my head to see through the optic. I know I can and did collapse the stock down 3 notches and then it was better. But I am 6 foot 4 and like the stock full out. I cannot see keeping an optic I am not totally pleased with. Needed to go back before the 30 days to get full money back. So it went back. Loved the optic itself but user interface for me not so great.

the issue that i noticed with 536 when i mounted it on my AR is that the reticle is caned to the left a bit... its annoying and past 100 yard renders your aim untrue. it looks like its a well known issue with these optics.. i contacted Burris CS ... no reply so far... we'll see

@@Hilander1298 Some of these comments are so ignorant. It's canted off on purpose. When you torque the mounting screws down to the SPECIFIED torque setting, it levels out the reticle. Sheesh.
