I can feel the presence of God so heavy as I watch this video! This reminds me of when I was a lil boy in the Baptist church. Those type of songs had power. Simple but yet profound. I love it and will do all I can to fuse the old with the new. dex (zm)

Ol' skool baptist shoutin' right there! lol
@coolh2oh12 жыл бұрын
@dartord I was raised baptist, and indeed this is one of those old school, hold 'em down, shouts. The kind that used to scare children... you just weren't sure what was going to happen next. They don't do that much these days. This is back when we just shouted maybe once a month-- I think it would be all bottled up, then the holy ghost would take over.

@steven2312 I used to go to the Albert Hadley Soul Children concerts, I'd say approximately 1974 to 1978. They even had an album (which I wish I could get my hands on). Those concerts were quite good. A picnic tragedy befell the Soul Children between 1978 and 1982. I'm grateful to find some video of the beloved Albert Hadley. Trust me, their earlier years were memorable.

What was the picnic tragedy What happened
@blackLove357 Жыл бұрын
@@CCOSTON25What had happen, was that some of the children and adults, got caught in the suction area of one of the pools at Waveland in MS and perished. We had a big funeral for all of them (at one time) as First Emmanuel B.C. and almost all of New Orleans and people from al the way from FL to TX came. My mother, told me that Albert (Hadley) was almost beside himself. I was born in 1970, so everyone who knew about this tragedy and the other one (in which we were either born or raised in New Orleans), will always remember those two events 😪🙏

You almost made me choke on my fried Chicken LOL. This is the typical Baptist way of shouting when I was growing up. When you got loud foks came running to hold N fan you down. Sometimes you got carried out the door....

Omg I look at this often and wonder where and what happened to the gospel soul children? Does anyone know where Evelyn Morris is? All the way to the left in sopranos she was a good friend of my mother.

I thought it was earlier than 1974. On another video I see they were founded in 1969. So, I'm sure, I heard them between 1969 and 1974 also.
