So many thoughts!! First I love this podcast and have a Happy New Year Rob and Ree!! 🎉 Next, I thought there was definitely a slow burn of Keanu becoming violent, he acted like he would hit his Mom and sister at least once, then Karen mentioned him becoming like his dad (who went to prison for hurting her), etc. I was shocked Keanu was the body but not surprised he turned nasty. Next I don't think Keanu will ever be found. I've seen that they move him next week, he's gone "missing" before and it'd be so easy to assume he just did another runner (being afraid of Phil after finding out he was the kidnapper). Last, I just LOVE the chaos of the unraveling of the Six!! I hate Linda being a murderer and Boxing Day was so stressful to watch BUT there's such good material going forward!! Each of them has their individual messes to sort out and keeping it all together is going to be wild!! Someone else is bound to end up dead 😂💀🙌

I think Denise actually called Stacey and Kathy selfish for wanting to call the police, I actually don't think Denise was the most selfish considering she was basically the only one that didn't basically throw Linda under the bus when it happened

Rewatched the flash forward episode. One of the key things Keanu said a lot is that he would not hurt Sharon. That didn’t age well.

I feel like all year we have seen Keanu as a ticking time bomb, it made sense to me once he had realised he had lost everything (Albie,Sharon,He’s Family) he would finally snap.

I agree! I feel like he has unraveled as he scrambles to cover his mistakes. And seeing his increasingly cold treatment of his family showed his single minded obsession with Sharon and Albie. I think he was almost more obsessed with Sharon

First off, Happy New Year to you both! Hope you feel better soon too! I'm onto 36.19 on this podcast & you guys are talking about Dean. I prayed he wasn't the body on the floor. I dont think hes earned it & i feel he needs to pay for what hes done to Linda & Roxy. I dont like how they're making a friendship with him & Geena, and for the sake of victims who watch EE, i feel they need to show Dean punished for what he did. I'm wondering if Dean will be part of the anniversary in February. I do wonder if maybe he takes the blame for Linda as a sort of retribution maybe? I'm not sure but im looking forward to whatever is coming up for the anniversary!

Another clue I’ve just realised after we find out it’s Keanu if you go back to Christmas 2019 Linda shot keanu with Martin Fowler present after Martin told Ben that it’s done he went to tell Louise and Phil it was done East 17 was playing in the background x and in the flashfoward episode it’s the same song the last part is the crackling fire behind Denise and Martin pretended to burn keanus clothes standing by a crackling fire this could have been foreshadowing his death 4 years later x

I too was shocked that the body was Keanu’s - especially after seeing, what is now a red herring, of photos of him and Lauren, though I did wonder how he appeared to know her. I too have said that the body was Nish and I believed this all along. Picky pick time: how come Kim’s voice came back so soon, without even a squeak; what happened to the necklace that Ian bought for Cindy (it was on one minute and off the next); how did Sharon get all the blood on her dress from Keanu’s nose? It didn’t bleed very much! Any normal police officer would have entered The Vic when Denise opened the door - they would have thought that she might have been forced to say that there was basically nothing wrong. Why has it taken so long for Rocky to be arrested? Several people have known what he did for the last couple of weeks, especially after Kathy blurted it out in The Vic.

@@Guitar-qv6gu Kathy found out, around two weeks ago, when she guessed after what Harvey said, so Harvey, Jean and Kathy knew; Nish had already sussed it. When Kathy had it out with Rocky; Ian, Cindy, Peter and Bobby overheard it. The next day, Kathy stormed into The Vic and set about Nish. Elaine, Tracy, Sharon, Vinny and Keanu all heard this, plus a few extra’s/supporting actors. When Rocky went to stay with Sonia - both Sonia and Reiss knew. When Billy was selling the cufflinks, it was obvious that Billy and Alfie knew. Dean had also found out. This is eighteen people, who knew from around two weeks ago. Furthermore, word spreads fast in Albert Square, so there’s no doubt many others knew too.

@@Guitar-qv6gu As an avid EE watcher, which you are obviously not, I'd advise you to rewatch various episodes. Kathy found out weeks ago, and so did her family. It then never took long for others to find out, simply a matter of days, so before you make such ridiculous remarks, got back a few weeks and watch it !

-Don't worry, you didn't say anything embarrassing in your drunken state haha and it was really nice seeing your immediate reactions -I still think we could have a 7th woman. The most obvious one would be Eve in my opinion but it could totally be someone completely different who just accidentally stumbles into one of the Six meetings and gets implicated. -I don't think Suki is as stable as everyone thinks. She did give that whole speech about you hold it together until you're safe. And we did see her break down a little bit the next day with Eve in the shop. Also she was sleepwalking and everything when she thought she killed Ranveer. I think she's good at compartmentalising, but I don't think she's coping any better than the others and it will catch up with her eventually. -I do worry about Gina. Either she has some kind of secret plan and is getting close to Dean for that reason and she'll be in danger when Dean realises what she's doing, or she genuinely fancies him and it's going down a similar route as Roxy when she didn't believe Linda. Either way I really worry about what Dean might do. -⭐ goes to Suki because I don't think I've ever felt so proud of a fictional character. Her character development has been incredible and so well written. -favourite line goes to Linda with 'on an angle!' when they get stuck trying to lift Keanu into the cafe 😂 (My comments keep getting longer and longer. Hope you don't mind.)

I loved this weeks eastenders so much it was well worth the wait imo, and I'm glad Nish isn't dead because he's a brilliant villain and the show needs someone like that I think. Just a really nasty, sadistic, cunning villain, it really spices things up lol. I loved the Sixes little arguments and watching them try to plan what to do, Denise vs Stacey was funny and I love drunk Linda, she's as good as drunk Phil. Keanu going to strangle Sharon seemed quite random but to be fair his character often doesn't think through consequences so I guess it makes sense in a way. It was a great twist, I don't think I've seen any people who got it right (Edit: apart from Brandon!). It's gonna be interesting seeing how they deal with it all and I wonder what they will do with Nish if/when he wakes up. Will he remember? Will he still want to be with Suki after it's nearly cost him his life? I'll miss Rocky but I think cos we knew he was leaving we could sorta prepare for it and come to terms with it before it happened (I'm making it sound like a tragedy or something lol). I'm sad to hear that Max Bowden will be leaving as Ben, that sucks cos I love Ben when they give him some good storylines like him vs Stuart and dramas with Phil and how he's dealing with Lola passing, Lexi etc. Also I enjoyed the programme they did about the Six before and after the christmas episode aired, it was really interesting to see the behind the scenes convos about it too, you don't often get to see that like Joe Swash said. Overall it was brilliant and one of the best christmas episodes I've seen, and I loved last years too

It's my fave xmas episode since the Den & Angie ep. I loved it. Yes i noticed it was on the stairs of the Vic in homage too!! I shouted it at the telly 😂 Boxing day ep was sensational - I'm so jealous, I wanted to be acting with those women, they were BRILLIANT. My 2 faves were also Denise and Linda. Surely they're going to have to get Phil involved probably before the end end of Jan, as Keanu's body has to be moved? And Eve's twigged something's going on already - so she'll probably know soon. It's fascinating that Sukeve are final 'out' but Suki has this massive secret that shes dealing with - so I wonder how this is going to affect their relationship, especially if Nish has overhead all the xmas day shenanigans. It's hilarious how unbothered Suki is that he's in a coma 😂 👏 Re 2024. When are Elaine and George getting married? Something big is going to happen that day to disrupt their wedding as she mentioned a few months ago that she'd kill anyone that ruined her day. (probably George and Cindy affair reveal by the looks of things) But its stayed in the back of my mind. See you next week! Jx

There were hints at going into Billie’s background more during the flashback episode and around the time of Lola’s death Billie was thinking about his role as a father figure, wrestling with the idea that Lola’s dad was abusive and where he got that from etc, it makes sense to meet Steve but not sure about the Aunt Sal connection

Biggest clue ever was in the flash-forward, Sharon made the toast 'To all the scumbags we've been stupid enough to let into our hearts' When Phil lent Sharon 50k to get Albie back & Sharon was quite happy to let Phil do his worst with the kidnappers, she said to Keanu (and Phil) 'tomorrow our son comes home, and the scum of the earth will get what they deserve' ... in my mind that meant Keanu would be the body on the floor, however, Sharon's reaction to the body was far too calm. We've seen Sharon lose her man a couple of times & she's nowhere near that calm! I always thought Linda was upstairs (her trailer was upstairs) and figured upstairs would be her & Dean and it didn't cross my mind that Linda would kill anyone else so I dropped the idea of Keanu being the body .... but its very clear Sharon foretold us all that the scum of the earth would get what they deserve. Keanu! Most clues have been in plain sight lol!!

She also seems attached to Jade Would be interesting though like the Linda/Stewart thing. Now that everything is out in the open I’m interested to see what they do in regards to the Panesars going forward. Suki and Eve are now fully public Then everyone now’s what Nish is like. Literally Nish burned all his CURRENT bridges in the square. Where the story goes from here for Nish is definitely the big question for 2024.

Could we see a Lisa and Peggy return and a Louise recast in the future, when Keanu body is revealed. As now they have no reason to be away from the square. Then you have to presume the funeral will be in London. Also that short story was important because in theory in Keanu mind Sharon took both his kids away from him.

I could see Linda being arrested and ending up in a cell with her arch nemesis Janine (Butcher) Carter 💅😱🤯 imagine the scenes between them set in prison 😂 giving Dirty Den and Nick Cotton in the 80s 😂😂😂

I respectfully disagree with Ree and her assessment of Denise. Sure she was acting out of self interest- as they were all. And she also had a lot more on the line for attacking Nish. It did not feel that out of whack to me. In fact in replaying the Boxing Day episode there are a couple of moments where she actually is showing some ‘kindness’ towards Stace - especially when she’s aware of the post traumatic experience she had.

This story line with Dean - reminds me of General Hospital (a USA soap) back in the 80’s Luke was obsessed with Laura & eventually horribly raped her on the floor of his disco club. Cut to future storyline - Luke Marries Laura & its the highest rated day time soap airing ever. 😢 I dont like that at all! (Finally in 2020 the writers corrected this by having Laura & Luke talk about it & hash it out) anyways i digress…, I wonder if Eastenders is trying for the same thing? Via Gina?

I think Gina is going to have a similar situation to Ben When he was raped the reaction from the viewers and people online was " Ben kinda deserved it as he was gunna cheat on Callum anyway so if he hadn't have seen the message from Callum and Lexi then it would have been consensual" when actually people should have been paying attention to the fact that Ben said no I'm a little concerned that Gina is going to be attacked by Dean and the viewers reaction will be " well she was warned about what Dean was like and she didn't listen " Or maybe because Gina is a girl the viewers won't be as disgusting Or like Ben's story they'll do a topic plot with linked websites and drop the story After all if EastEnders doesn't care about how they handle sensitive subjects then why should the viewers

I think Keanu was pushed to strangling Sharon by her saying he can't see Albie, and really pushing the he's not his son. Pushed him over the edge. My favorite thing was Sharon flicking the gloves at Linda. I'm surprised Rocky didn't use that he suspects something is going on to divert the police attention from him. But I think that ship has sailed. Bye Rocky.
