Back to Peter Lougheed Provincial Park - this time running solo! When April and I were here last we didn't do much in the way of exploring and I wanted to scope out the mountains and lakes that this massive park had to offer. So after a brief chat with the Visitor Center crew, I parked the van at Upper Kanananskis Lake, got my pack together and started hiking.
The staffer at the Visitor Center had warned me that there was a BLACK bear in the area but provided I was safe about it, I should be fine. Needless to say, it wasn't just a black bear scoping out the lake!!
