Hey Senvia! You bet...depending on where you are you may have to dig up to 200ft! It is still worth it...being the first person in over 65 million years to see it for the first time is amazing!!

I'd kill for a career doing this lol. Grew up in Southern AB. Started cutting opals a while back, then got into silversmithing and I've caught the ammolite bug. The stones are amazing, think they will really appreciate over the years as more people hear about it. Especially since the Chinese market is so involved.
