the giro win got taken away due to clentuberol positive on the 2010 tour. since his sanction was 2 years backdated from the 2010 tour not only did he lose that tour but also all the races he won after that until the CAS came to a decision. which include the giro, vuelta a catalunya a few more races as well.

Just an example Portuguese young rider Rui Costa also tested positive in 2010 for a banned substance but he was able to prove that the substance came from a food supplement that was sold in normal supermarkets, that didn't list that substance in it's constitution. Since he was able to prove where the substance came from he was therefore rightfully considered not guilty of the doping charges. Several other athletes also had the same troubles as Costa on the commonwealth games.

his form hasn't dipped since then. During the giro 2011 he was stronger than ever before. He was only bad at the tour 2011, because the hosts of the giro 2011 were crazy and made it the hardest grand tour of all time. Thus contador was pretty tired later on at the tour de france ;)

also it should be noticed that on the CAS 4000 page long verdict they clearly say that they don't believe contador doped but since he couldn't prove where the tiny amount of clentuberol came from, which is required in order to prove ones innocence according to CAS rules, he would be banned anyway.

His does not doped....this subtance is not a performance enhancer even if taken in large quantity. Though the amount identified in contador was in picogram. Which is impossible to self induce such a small amount. That why he was given only 1 year ban due to his innocence.

honestly at first, i thought Contador was guilty, but then i looked at the 2010 tour and he wasn't as strong as previous tours. Andy Schleck was the strongest rider by far and got screwed by the chain gate on stage 15. My point is, Contador's reason that he ate bad meat looked good since he actually looked worse than better in the 2010 tour.
