You can move furniture that way in new leaf!! After you get a certain expansion or amount of home academy points (i dont know which, i kind of did them at the same time) they bring you into a room with this female otter and she teaches you to use the thingy then you can go home and press a pannel next to the secret room (or light switch) and it opens up a grid and you can just move the things. also, i know it isnt a big thing, but i want middle planes and to be able to rotate pwp. some times i just want my tea set in the middle of my kitchen table and i want the chair centered not to the side.
