Albion Online - Open World Horizons Update is Bad

Everyone's hyped for the newest Albion Online update that promises to change the open world. The "Horizons" update is terrible and not at all what I want from this game. Who even asked for this? They're shadow-nerfing a lot of things for solo players and making the game world lean even more towards groups and guilds. This is bad news for the majority of the playerbase, as most players are guildless and solo, for good reason. Playing in ZvZ's and doing mandatory cta's is some of the worst content you can do in this game. The devs continue to push updates that side with guilds and groups of players, and the sickening thing about this update is they're trying to make it seem solo friendly when it in fact isn't at all.

This update will be bad for solo players. Isn't that SBI's tradition? Let's just accept that SBI will continue with their changes to favor PVP. Let's just stick to having fun in Yellow and Blue Zone until we can. Once they screw that part up... we'll just move on to another game. 🤷‍♂

Even gatherers like me are gonna be afraid to go out anymore as we know its always gonna be death outside the yellow zones as gankers will dominate the game and gatherers will leave the game as we won't feel any more and can't make any money.... We are already struggling in the market making any litte profit now the Dev's are gonna choke us to our limits till we leave the game

90% of the people are solo players for a reason. Less than 20% much less actually even go into the red and black because it's dumb . This game would have done so much if they just made PVP optional. And they tried to make the gear better instead of nerfing everything. I swear the developers Have fetal alcohol syndrome. Every patch they destroy the game more they just don't listen.

As a mobile player I don’t understand what is so hard about the controls. Pretty straightforward to me but clunky. I need to get a pc that can run albion.

Even though I have a PC I still play on mobile. Once mastered, mobile is so much better unless you do large-scale content because a mobile lags during that.

You don't need a very good pc to play. I have it on crappy laptop that can barely run anything, and Ive never had any issues.

I can't believe they were too lazy to add tier 6 level yellow zones. As for the mobs being tuffer I'm glad about that I do so much damage in My Gucci maxed out 8.4 gear that means nothing to me and it will keep away the game scrubs that can't even beat Blue zone mobs already. As for the black zone lololol that's completely worthless to be jumped by 10 guys . It cracks me up they think they're doing something when they jump you after your health is down all your cool Downs shot player versus player the worst players in the game. I have more crafting Fame than they will ever have. And then they will quit because they kept waiting for that big payoff that will never come. Splitting 40K between 10 dudes complete losers.

The black zone is dying, I've never seen it so empty. A group can gank and see a players every 5 mins, sbi are desperate to fill the black zone FOR GROUPS TO KILL and nothing else. When he said people struggle to go through the black zone i laughed because at ceetain times you can roam it and not see anyone.

My solo dun farm basically became undoable with what they are planning, buffing t8 pve with 40% damage makes it basically a group dun if you dont have t8.x set Which you'll never use in bz.... I play on mobile and the pve is great as is imo I really enjoy the hard t8.1 bossfights where the bosses have 11k hp, and do 100-200 damage with normal attacks, buffing that by another 40% is just not necessary

i started playing around 2018, back then pvp was just normal.. most pvp players only looked for easy targets and would avoid anyone that looked too annoying to run after.. came back 2024 months ago and changed up my play style.. i left after they changed the gold required to get premium solo as i was on the cusp of getting half way there playing fairly hard to get it.. after i returned.. the game changed up quite a lot. it seems albion is about to go through a mass loss of players again. i dont ever play with other people because very few people actually are worth playing because the game encourages absolute toxic behavior. guilds are not guilds, they are nothing more then cartel today so its just not worth it.

Safe portal is the thing they introduce to gain control over encounters in game to make people die more often. Same fashion as mists if it's time to die for you game would put you into the mist with more experienced more aggressive players if you died 3 times in raw you would be teleported to a mist with a potato farmers. Oh you are gathering in BZ here is your safe portal of a ganker group, your welcome. I hate it when the game trying to design experience by taking away control from player deciding when its time to die or to win. Same as forced 50% winrate in many other games like fifa or dota. Depending on how invasive this thing would be i would think about Quiting albion.

When I do mists I _always_ end up in the same instance as w0n or ProfessorPewPew. With your theory, it might NOT be just coincidence. I always figured it tried to pair players in the mists based on location / ping.
