Let me tell you this. My early experience in Jamaica was ... not nice. Borosie was a name I used to call and it has a negative meaning. So I said, 'That's the name use it and destroy the space and become a negative positive! ". Basically my name is Albert, so I add "Al" - Al-borosie. But I'm not saying what borosie means! "[4] Alborosie's hit list includes "Rastafari Anthem", "Kingston Town" and "Call Up Jah". Alborosie recently founded its own record label, Forward Recordings. He has given concerts all over the world, including most of Europe and Jamaica. In 2011, he was the first white artist to win MOBO (Black Music) awards in the Best Reggae Act category. [5] [6] In 2014, Greensleeves Records released Specialist Presents Alborosie & Friends, a collaboration with other artists. [6] The album ranked 7th on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums list.
