The Battle of Albulena saw Skenderbeg (p.b.u.h 🫡) land one of his most decisive blows on the battlefield against the Ottomans, in a battle that was disproportionate in numbers. The Battle of Albulena marked one of the highest points in Albania’s resistance against the Ottoman Empire.

Even though I do admit that I should've checked this before writing my comment, the main leaders of the Albanian people - including of course Skanderbeg - were in fact Catholic at the time. Do whatever you want with this information, but for me this means that Albania was turned towards Rome and is kind of confirmed by the fact that it did also receive more help from Venice, another Catholic Power at the time, rather than say the Eastern Roman Empire or some other Orthodox Nation.

There are Christian Albanians. Northern Albania is mostly Catholic, and Southern Albania has a significant Orthodox minority. Islam was forced into the Albanians, who originally were Christians. Skanderbeg fought and killed the Muslim invaders, sadly they ended up defeating Albania after his death, and over the centuries, they forced Islam into the Albanian people. If you are a true Albanian follower of Skanderbeg, then you can't be Muslim, because he literally ordered those who had embraced Islam or were Muslim colonists to convert to Christianity or face death.

Ultra-nationalists, both Albanian or Serb/Greek etc. are venerating their nation or state more than God, while true believers wouldn't hate other nations. Serbs and Greeks also can have "just" reasons to hate Albanians, for example because most part of Albanian converted to islam and apostated Christianity. But this has nothing to do with Christianity and Christ. True unity may be only in Christ, and without Christ any unity will be sinful and corrupted.
