If you have hypotension or you have edema and you get a serum albumin level that is low, then replacing with albumin (and sometimes following with furosemide in the case of edema) can help the baby. Hope this answers your question.

Do you mean combined? It us always important to know what it is you are treating and not to give everything. This in a preemie could potentially greatly increase the risk of IVH and would not give combined. I recommend give one, observe a change and then give the other if able.
