Well done Clarence. That's a lot of effort to scout, hike and locate places to fish like that culvert. A Bitsy Bug/TRD Bugz trailer was perfect for skipping back into the shady tunnel where the fish were hiding. Hope fishing picks up as cooler weather arrives, but I doubt that you get frozen over in the winter like we do most winters. Best wishes, Don

Oh yeah. I love the ditches. The biggest catfish I caught this season was a 26" just north of Central Bridge. I was fishing for carp to use as cat bait, using a tiny hook with two kernels of sweet corn, but instead hooked into a ditch monster. Of course, I catch plenty of carp out of the ditches. Great video. I just subbed.

That dumped tire is disgusting! I"ve fished the clearwater ditches in Los Lunas, about 25 miles south of Albuquerque, and caught bass in the summertime, stocker trout in the cold weather months, and some big carp when the others weren't biting. I prefer to fish in the lakes, but for a quick trip when the fishing bug bites, fishing the city ditches can be lots of fun!

I would hit Tingley. You need a 7”3 Heavy Rod with 20 pound braid use a 3/0 Flippin Hook with a 1oz tungsten weight and flip into the Reeds that where you can find Hot summer bass trying to cool down from the heat

Winter time are when we hit the Clear ditches. They turn off the water for irrigation during winter months. But if you google Albuquerque Clear ditches it will show on google maps
