Alcatraz Island Prison Circa 1933 Footage

Circa 1933 footage of Alcatraz Island, just prior to becoming a federal prison. This footage shows the original soft flat iron bars with a military sentry patrolling the cellhouse. Alcatraz transitioned to a federal penitentiary in 1934.
