Pierce the thick skin That weighs upon my shoulders Tear it off of me Limb by limb Piece by piece So I may show you who I am Beyond my body Beyond my flesh So you may catch a glimpse Of my non-human Shards of light Behold me As I am And embrace me Do not let them Rob me of my soul Do not let them tarnish it

The is my favorite Alcest song. It represents so many different emotions and weaves them all together so perfectly. By the time the song is finished you feel like something new.

My 13 year old daughter listened to this and told me it's the most beautiful song she's ever heard. I hope she will forget about K-pop soon lol. I think her and my 15 year old son are becoming fans of Alcest. My son's alarm tone is Oiseaux de Proie 😁

I saw them at a small club in my city, back at the days of Kodama tour. When they played this song, it was beyond description. It was a small crowd, but at the end of this marvelous piece, most of the crowd stood silent, contemplating, some of them in tears. It's sublime. Can't find any other words to describe their music.
@user-sk7lt4fg8k3 жыл бұрын
This is the first album and the first group where I can love all their songs. You embodied sounds and emotions that are present but invisible. Spectacular. I listen to it even if it breaks my psyche. At the same time, I feel free. I'm facing the wind, there are mountains inside me and of course a starry night or a sunrise, it's hard to describe, it's just a strong feeling. This is the highest level of art. I do not exist and I am part of nature. It smells of wildflowers. There's the crackle of a campfire. I am an artist's pain while listening to this album. I can be anything on this album. There is death in it, in vitality. It's like when a skjaldmaer falls in love. Greetings from turkey.

I saw them my first time a few years ago while visiting my wife’s family in Utah. Excellent show and we got to meet the band afterwards.
