Alco Heaven | Subsidiaries of the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad

Anyone who knows a thing or two about the rail scene in Western New York knows there is an abundance of Alco-powered shortlines featured all types of the old locomotives! The Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad and their three subsidiaries are no exception, especially with three of them featuring Century four-axles as well as the last four surviving ex-New York Central C430s! Enjoy the sights and sounds of these old brutes as this video takes a look at some of the operations of these railroads; starting with the Bath & Hammondsport and working along to the newest subsidiary: the Ontario Midland, followed by the well-known Western New York & Pennsylvania and finally ending with some road train action on the parent company's rails!

Very well done. Man you had me with B&H. I used to truck wine grapes into Hammondsport. 11:03 - DIFCO side-dump car for stone and gravel. Awesome, I just modeled 3 of these for my FGLK layout, they haul stone and gravel from Hanson's Aggregates in Oaks Corners to Himrod Yard for the local municipalities to use. I like how you got the property signs in there. Thanks!
