Just a simple video of me making fitted cupboards or alcove units as we call them in the uk.
I also make floating shelve slightly thicker which I'm much happier with !

I'm going to attempt a similar project in our new place. Can you remember what thickness MDF you used? Was thinking 12mm for the frame, 6(×2) for the doors and 18 for the top but hard to tell. Did you scribe the top? Looked like you just cut everything square and straight. Also, when you put the wedges underneath to get it level, I couldn't tell what you did on the back side to hold it in place.

Great video, I'm going more your way of now of building everything on site, a lot less stressful, spent years building cabinets in workshops and prefinishing before installing but it requires a lot of care and pre planning and all that takes time, I'd say what you are doing there is spot on to try make the best profit, customers are always looking for the cheapest option, good job though Tip, get a 23gauge headless pinner to glue and tack on the rails on your doors, saves time clamping them and waiting for glue to go off

Loving this mate as just branching oit into this kind of thing and learning new stuff all the time! Couple of questions. Would you recommend tracksaw over a jobsite tablesaw as the tool to have first? Also, is it easy to keep cuts perfectly square with the guide rail, looks like you're bang on with them all but I know experience counts for alot when it comes to the finish and I'm having to get my experience on the job! Thanks for putting the vids up, impressive work and speedy too!

Wicked mate ! Glad your giving it a go ! That’s what it’s about ! Yes I would personally go for a track saw first, both have there place but the track saw is deffo more versatile. Yes your correct other then I let the protrude 22mm to allow for the gap needs for the hinges to work properly, and yes I allow for this when making the unit, Say for instance my gap is 1000mm I make my unit 960mm to allow for the fillers to fit, I allow more if the walls are out of level so I can scribe this to suit the walls

Hi mate, great video I'm about to start a project like this. I'm new to this and like the idea of your platform on the floor for the cabinet to sit on. I take it you need to plumb the platform so its level before you put the cabinet on top? If so how do you do this? Sorry for all the questions mate😂 thankyou very much and just know I'll be over the moon if mine turns out half as good as yours!

Not a Milwaukee actually mate, although it dose look like it should be, and I’m affraid they are very hard to get hold of, they are a Japanese retracting saw, this one came directly from Japan, your best bet is to have a google for one.
