Wow another great comparison video and it’s still unbelievable how much land is being lost in the summer months god help them when they get the winter storms. I hope they move some of them caravans before winter comes and then bungalows are getting nearer to the cliff. Keep up the good work your erosion videos are great viewing 👏👏👏👍

Oh thank you for this fascinating comparison. You pick up new ideas quickly. Amazing how much clarity your drone footage has compared to Google Earth. Looks like most caravans here have been moved. A whole section of internal road layout with street lighting is redundant. Shame but safer than other areas.

And going by what the experts say sandstone goes alway back to driffield and with increasing cases of storms damage at coastline ,how long before driffield been on the coastline

Nice one yet agin Davey. A thought for you, we know the clay cliffs are eroding at an alarming rate but I wonder whats happening to the sands in relation to the cliffs? Is the beech level rising or staying the same. in relation to the hight of the cliffs. I spent years holidaying with my family at Withernsea and i noticed the beech is higher than it used to be. Time for some research i think 👍

I've read that the sea takes the clay down the coast and deposits it in the Humber forming small islands such as Sunk Island and others.

@theonlysallyg Yes, I believe so. If there were no sea defences at all, the landscape would be very different...I do think that the groynes etc are changing the natural course.
