Why do you leave so much of the excess outsole stitching thread on?
@EdAb2 жыл бұрын
Think of it as an artist's signature. It certainly harms nothing.

*He's referring to **12:09** Some cobblers trim that, while he doesn't. It won't affect the boots since the heel goes over top of it. Also, leaving some of the tread makes sure the thread won't come loose. Every cobbler has their own method that works for them. So the boots will be fine 😊*

Maybe the video description has been changed since your comment, but it says it right in the description now.

Are 700 half heels available now from Vibram or did you sand down a whole heel?
@Snugglez187 Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can get 700 half heels. I have a pair waiting to go on some boots I've been working on for myself, when I finally get the time to finish them.

Cheap two dollar nail puller is going to ruin a thousand dollar pair of shoes!
@EdAb2 жыл бұрын
Not likely. The area where the nails were pulled got trimmed off after the new welt was stitched. Much ado about nothing.

*It won't ruin it at all actually. It's safe. Cobblers pull nails with high quality pincers all the time from any kind of boots. It's a completely normal and necessary part of the process that must be done in order to replace the heel, after it's been worn down 😊*
