Fun fact: you can eat kiwifruit skin. Also look out for golden kiwi they are delicious. You can also freeze them if you cut them up, easy smoothie. If you see champagne/ataulfo mangos theyre very good. You can freeze them too. Any time you freeze it keeps the nutrients.

You might be able to freeze the salami in batches so none of it goes to waste! I love Aldi!!

I make my smoothies with frozen fruits and spinach/kale, it’s actually much more delicious tasting and there are always sales on the frozen fruits and veggies… I put frozen berries, pineapple and mango usually with spinach… and it’s already cut up too! Btw, I don’t like shopping either, I feel exactly the same way you do 💖

Love cherry tomatoes. Also, remove the produce and store them in containers and they last longer. Don't believe the expiry date. The industry wants you to buy more. I buy bread slices and freeze it and take out what I need. I make my own plant milk it costs less and more nutricious. In Europe were all for reducing waste.

If you section out in to ziploc some smaller portions of your lunch meats you can freeze and have them last longer and not waste any.

Also is my jam - I just shopped for the month for 2-6 people depending on the visitors we have. I shopped Aldi and another store - spent $500 for the month.. including animal needs personal products and cleaning stuff. I’m a planner and budgeted and I freeze and meal prep like a nut 🤣 Great job hon!

In terms of shortages just wait until this fall 😬 I’ve had trouble finding stuff as well in my local stores and many things are out of stock indefinitely bc they don’t know when they’ll get certain things back in especially allergen friendly food like gluten free items. So I’ve been stocking up for when SHTF lol

You're better off going to the deli and buying your meats loose in small amounts than purchasing the packaged meat. It's cheaper and less waste.
