For Germany in black ice, under custom game rules in gameplay rules in the starting menu, there is a historical division spawner, which spawns the historical divisions at the historical date and upgrades them as they were historically upgraded. I would highly recommend using this feature for Germany, but I believe it works for other major nations as well.

These videos are a hundred times more interesting than the average ISoyboyProductions-tier videos put out by the majority of the community where making a war crime joke every 5 seconds is 'funny'. You've been doing the historical doctrine/divisions/decisions etc. playthroughs for a while and they're still great videos because nobody else has the same dedication to both original research and actually applying it strictly ingame. Also helps that you speak like a human being and not one of those aforementioned types.

The Lee was beloved by a lot of British tankers in North Africa! For a tank designed and produced within four months I would say it did pretty well in its role. It was a pretty good matchup with the common German Panzer IIIs and IIs, and even against the Panzer IVs.

Instead of civs I went with max infrastructure where iron was extracted to reduce civs wasted on improts of this damn iron and to boost future builds there. Then I've invested in Philippines naval bases to supply all of my entire fleet and 36 best divs there. Then I've built lots of industrial farms to reduce civs being wasted on food imports. After an easy defending of Japan's teleportation to Philippines in late 1941, I immediately started to prepare a naval invasion to Japan and since the us navy is op I've landed there and gg. Edit: idk if it played any role but I was also securing naval route between Philippines and usa homelands with around 60 escorts to keep the supply line to naval bases

I would say that simply moving to less export laws gives you all the iron you need - infra just doesn’t seem worth it in this mod

@@Aldrahill Not everywhere, but Texas and California at max infrastructure would help a lot, and Washington DC even more, as all supply starts from the capital. Also infrastructure would speed up construction for all buildings and ease supply in combat zones, like Africa, Burma or Indonesia.

I played Japan recently in this mod, and it was just pain. The war in China, with the supply situation, is so bad. You need an insane amount of garrison equipment for occupation, and China gets tons of planes per lend lease from the Soviets and the US, it honestly makes it kind of hard to compete with them. I took until 42 or 43 to finish China. To be fair, I probably also sucked. But it was also pain. I'm really looking forward to your future video about this.

I've recently run into the constant crashes in Black Ice, and this is what resolved - it only worked one time for me, so don't get your hopes up too high. I switched autosaving to weekly, and as soon as the game autosaves, I'd load the game from that save. A couple of months of that and it didn't need any more reloading

So in this universe; - US flips it's war policy to "Japan First, Germany Second" - US and Japanese fleets decide that Europe and Africa is clearly the path towards victory in the Pacific - Germany ignores West even harder and goes all in on stomping the Soviets - No adandoning of the Pacific islands and Japan just slowly loses on all fronts.

Will you do a second try as USSR in this mod? I have the feeling that developer put a special amount of suffering and pain in this country. I made several attempts but ultimately failed in all of them. In my last game i made by far the best preparations and even completed 2-nd Five Year Plan, but to my surprise germans attacked on the 18-th of May and captured Moscow by October. Needless to say that i raged hard and Alt+f4 after that.

The navy rework is actually from a mod called Naval Rework Mod II by Elouda, which i played a lot with, and as a navy enthusiast it was so fun to create semi-realistic ships. Shame it was discontinued and moved to BICE, beacuse now you have to torture yourself with this mod to play the naval game. Honestly i couldn't find a naval mod close to this, but i found Vanilla navy rework (or something like that) which is ok.

Played blackice for the first time 2 weeks ago.. it took me 3 games and 2 weeks for me to beat Germany and my game crashed after the peace deal 😞😭 i was there you were saying your game kept crashing.. i feel bad for you knowing how much micro this needs and how slow the game is..

Oh god someone that understands my pain!!! It started crashing in 44 originally, but downgrading my game version fixed it, but then it just kept crashing where I showed it in my video :( it was so depressing, I just wanted the satisfaction of winning after all that effort!

Just a fyi if you roll back the game on steam to 1.14.5 beta you can finish your game. The patch broke my UK Bice game and this allowed me to finish it.

If it's the same as non-modded hoi4 i BELIEVE Japan surrenders after 1: You bring their fleet size down to less than 30 ships, and 2: You nuke them twice. Can't remember if there's any other stipulations but that's why they surrender. If you hover over the Japanese surrender decision it'll tell you what's required.
