Tour Aldrich alumni artist Tony Matelli’s studio in the latest #AldrichStudios video. Matelli’s large-scale sculpture Hera was installed as part of the Museum’s Main Street Sculpture program in 2017 and he had work included in the group exhibition Objects Like Us, part of The Domestic Plane, in 2018 - both projects were organized by Senior Curator Amy Smith-Stewart.

Greetings from Sydney in lockdown, Tony. My wife and I are huge fans of your work. One day I hope to display one your big marble statues with banana peels in our home. The way you deploy breathtaking technical skills to combine beauty with absurdity leaves me shaking my head in sheer wonder. Thank you for making such strange and beguiling objects.
