What an awesome pick up he was for us. These are the types of moves that Brian Cashman makes that initially make us scratch our heads. But those years with him and Andruw Jones platooning left field, DHing, and pinch-hitting were exactly what we needed. Two veterans with a little bit left in the tank who just went out and took care of business. If only Mo and Jeter didn’t get hurt that year. What could’ve been 😔

This moment will resonate with me forever. Yanks didn’t get pass ALCS but they disposed of the Orioles in this series. A descent ball player with Philly , lost in the shuffle in NY with such massive star power, came off the bench to hit for baseball’s highest paid player and delivered not once but TWICE in the game. He can show this footage to his grand kids 30 yrs from now.

You can tell that TBS purposely lowered the crowd noise after the homeruns, listen to the crowd off the sound of the bat compared to a few seconds later. Sound may not be held in like the old stadium, but the new one isn't awful either.

These Ibanez homeruns, 2001 Tino/Broscius homers, Mattingly's 1995 ALDS homer and my alltime favorite Leyritz Game 4 Homer off Wohlers were something else to watch live. But Ibanez's homerun tear is still the impressive clutch hitting display I ever saw. Night after night the whole stadium and what felt like the whole world could feel those homeruns coming and night after night Ibanez delivered. Unless you watched Ibanez's homers live you dont understand just how incredible it really was.
