Almost, it's got an extra pair of strings in the bottom end as well, so five courses, and the tuning is DGDAD. It's called a cittern :-)

Wonderful execution. How is your fret-wear? Ådin might have to re-fret that beast, or adjust the nut and/or bridge. Especially on your second course of strings, there's consistent loss of syntony. I've found it on my flamenco guitar: sounds fine "open", but when I capo III or V, the slight difference (due to fret) wear causes the intonation to be off. Best wishes.

Thanks! I know what you mean. My fret wear is terrible on the first course, but hopefully this will get better the next time we re-fret as we'll be going for bronze frets then (SINTOM). With regards to the second course I think it's mainly caused by me applying too much finger pressure :-) An old habit from playing all these ornaments which requires full force. This is also what causes the fret wear on the first course. Thanks for the feedback!
