This entire episode if you can find it in it's entirety is my all time favorite. I had it on vhs for the longest. Every skit with Baldwin on this one is hilarious.

Yes, the one when Lorne Michaels went on air in 1976, and offered The Beatles $3,000, to reunite on the show. Ironically, Paul was visiting John, who was a huge SNL fan, and they were actually watching the show. They 'almost', went down to 30 Rock, to do a couple of songs. But, they were too tired. I believe they were 'too high'. Lol. But, in any event, they resolved to do it 'another time'. George ended up appearing some months later, with Paul Simon. And 'acted' disappointed when he couldn't collect the three grand. Lorne explained, it was for 'the four of you'. George said it was 'chintzy' of him. Lol. Here, McCartney is running into similar red tape, over the money. It's a damn shame they didn't do it, together. Still, a great bit.

It's funny, because Alec's reaction in that later SNL sketch where Paul just shows up with Steve Martin and Martin Short, he acts like hes never ever seen him before

There are plenty of free bathrooms in NYC. All of the larger parks have them, some of the larger subway stations, and then of course all of the transit stations, department stores, etc.

This was the first and only time my parents went to a Saturday Night Live show. It was eight months after they had gotten married, and they finally won tickets w/ two VIP passes so they could meet him plus the cast and crew at the afterparty... I'm just going to say it: my mom and dad told me he was a prissy bitch then and still is now. Tragedy of Rust film set asside, he gave them the cold shoulder and went to hang out with his big celebrity friends instead, even Paul McCartney. Although it could've been worse, like going to an SNL party in 2002 and hanging out with Horatio Sanz.

Just came across this. My son was asking about this night. I was there with my second husband. We'd just gotten married July, 1992. We were friends with Mike Myers. In this clip, my husband is the one in the white shirt, excitedly laughing. I'm in the red sweater. Alec was gorgeous. We were also at the after party. As I was leaving, Mike introduced me to Alan Ginsberg, and we talked poetry for a bit. What a night that was.

Alec Baldwin is not the most likeable guy there is but I feel terrible about what happened to him regarding the death of his co-actress. Who the hell thinks he did it on purpose or because he did't chek the gun? That is in charge of the people in utility not the actors and WHY are they still using real guns to begin with?
