I almost regret that he is a musician and not a writer. As a writer (well, not published actually but yes, I write novels), I found this line so powerful. But also as a writer, I love listening to his songs to inspire me. You're the best Alec :D (btw, I know it would be comical to describe myself as a writer with, probably, some mistakes on a little comment but I'm not english, and I'm not that good in English, I don't write often in english...) Real love isn't like the ocean (fleeting ocean swims and then having to drive in wet clothes), and I hope you get to experience real love. My husband and I met at 17, but we didn't last long then. We started dating again at 24 or 25 and haven't looked back. I've never felt the way I feel with him with anyone else ever, even at 17 (I wish I stayed but life is complicated sometimes and I left him then). I am more in love now than back then or when we got back together, we are 39 now, (and I hope we reach 90 together, like in your song, which I assume is about your grandparents). I always listen to Alec's music whenever I want to feel disconnected from everything that's happening and happened but I still want to keep the feelings on my mind and think about the situations rationally. Also, Alec's voice is too calming. It reminds me of the wind that comes with the waves after the storm has passed and I can't imagine anything else that I could describe like that. Now I can't wait to go to the beach after a storm again. Really thank you!
