They have a legacy for life as being two of the biggest influences in rap with their music transcending generations, but Eminem has been making noises for the last 15 years now, constantly reinventing himself, he's as good as hip hop royalty now. Me personally? I grew up in the late stages of the golden era of hip hop in the 90s, Tupac has pretty much been top of my list since and I still remember the day the news broke that he'd been died, but Kamikaze sealed it for me. Eminem is a one off.
