Very correct: The short version is that he suggested it because Luke is a gamer and "LET'S GOOOO!" is a common gamer celebration, but the people in charge were like "Wait where is he going? The match is over..." He basically just said "trust me on this" and did it, and everyone agreed it was really good.

I actually like the character a lot actually from SF5 to 6 for not just how great he plays but witnessing Menard winning CPT with him. And Aleks is a phenomenal VA who that I can assume is the only actor promoting SF6 upon it's launch with all the funny memes,s***posts & just recently playing the game on Twitch with other VA's like Allegra Clark.

I feel like with any new game I get into, Allegra Clark is in it in some way 😂 She and Joe Zieja were huge in the Three Houses community with making the more overlooked characters pop out through funny af streams. In my opinion, Luke's appearance wasn't bad in SFV, it was the "another blonde fighter" label and design/move comparisons that formed around his debut as Season 5's last addition. His VA brings lot of charisma to the character, and I think his nostalgia costume would look great in SF6's art style.

The one thing that I've found out from Aleks's work with Luke that amazed me is that originally, Luke wasn't going to say "let's go" as his round victory quote until Aleks convinced the producers to put that voice line in, because they had no idea of how the phrase was used in the FGC and gaming in general

The way that Aleks Le literally had to take the reins to bring forth a Luke that would strike the hearts of the skeptical masses is a job that's deserved to be paid in figures. He just deserves that.

Aleks did what 90% of game studios fail to do where he actively engages the community with the game and his character out of pure love for it. Even just booting up a stream with his co-workers like Zeno Robinson to play some matches goes a long way. It's also really fun to see that the voice behind the character is a real person and have their own personality outside of being cool and fun for corporate marketing at events/one off videos.

I fell in love with Luke I think a bit earlier than most people. I really liked his personality in the betas, and his gameplay was super fun. His weird faces during the load screen, his super was super cool, and that PERFECT sound byte was super satisfying. The final nail in the head though was the Luke laughing at the custom characters video. Thanks Aleks, your photogenic too

Capcom might not be paying him directly to do things but it is in his best interest that Luke does well as a character. If Luke comes back in any way and his voice is what rounds up the character he will be hired again for new roles as Luke. If people like his job as Luke he will be hired more by other companies. He may genuinely love voicing Luke and the character overall but let's not be oblivious to how important it is for him that Luke is well received.

Luke definitely was improved a lot with the jump to SF6, he's less cocky and more of a chill mentor, same goes for his design, but yeah Aleks really sold me on liking Luke, and the best part is that the memes and jokes are actually very on character for Luke even if it's all fanmade, I think he's easily my second favorite SF protag after Ryu (please don't kill me Alex fans).

I got SF6 the day after Christmas since I got a PS5. I had never played a Street Fighter game besides SF2 The New Challengers on my WII U and my first go to character on SF6 was Luke. I thought he was super funny and I liked the way his voice sounded and so I looked up his VA and there we had it, Aleks Le. Since I've started watching Aleks's content, he's my favorite VA. He actually got me into voice acting and I want to do that when I'm grown. I've actually been doing some voice training and I think I'd get it pretty good in the VA industry. I've also bought/gotten into a bunch of media that Aleks is in such as SF6(duh), Persona 3 Reload, Solo Leveling, Cyberpunk Edgerunners(he plays Katsuo, the guy that beats up David), I was actually shocked when I figured out he plays Anji mito in Guilty Gear -Strive-(my favorite 2d fighting game), etc. Very iconic guy yes. Honestly I have to praise Capcom for letting him do all of this as well. Most other companies would look at Aleks Le as a brand risk and restrict how much he can do, but he can just do whatever. Especially him playing SF6 with the other voice actors and not having it feel like some corporate marketing stunt.

A character that everybody loves immediately is one thing, but a character that's hated at first and gets turned around into being loved is pure gold. Honestly that kind of thing may happen even less often. This is slightly into left field, but the one other example thereof that comes to mind is Shigaraki, from My Hero Academia. Guy was lame at first. Just a whiner villain wannabe with a threatning enough but ultimately kind of mediocre superpower. But in recent seasons, he's become one of the top 3 coldest dudes in the show, with a chilling backstory that even made me take a few minutes to sit back first before going back in to watch another episode. Capcom and Aleks polished a stone and found diamond, and I think there's something special in that.

As a newer street fighter fan, alex le definitely helped in making me love this guy, i remember watching solo leveling and seeing alex be a total shthead to the haters which just made me like him, but then getting into street fighter i was not looking at bro. I was barely sold on luke being the next face after ryu. Then after hearing about how alex le voices luke just made me go "ok... Let's see if he's better than m bison or ryu tho" And now i literally have a copy of his gloves, and his hoodie 😂
