@@zenit2415 Lol keep dreaming. Santos is known as a brawler who goes forward and doesn't care if he gets hit, because he is ready to receive a punch to land one and knock out his opponent. In this fight, he did absolutely nothing. He tried few times to go forward with sloppy punches, got countered, and never tried again. He needed to win this after 2 losses in a row, and he still did nothing. Rakić did what he was supposed to, kept a distance, punished Santos with some heavy leg kicks, controlled him in the clinch, and got the victory. But you can tell yourself whatever you like if it will make you feel better.

I rewatched it and it had a lot more action than I initially thought while watching it live. Second of all, as I said, Santos was the one to blame. He did nothing, didn't go forward, and he lost because of it. So I don't see how we are saying the same thing.

here for the few of you that know nothing about pints and the mma game. let's start off with santos his punches were weak and barely any connected and his kicks were very weak and missed most punches and kicks , he was slow and weak and only moved backwards not forward.that to me shows that he was fearing rakic. now rakic he was pushing the fight forward and connected his punches and kicks every round and hurt him and majority connected and had him against the cage and santos had nothing against rakic .so get real with santos , he had fear of rakic and didnt want to go toe to toe with rakic going backwards means you don't want to fight. you get points for pressure, he had him against the cage , going forward and harder kicks and punches which means damage. santos face puffed out and pure red and rakic had 0 damage .

It doesn't matter. He was already a brown belt (students reach the belt rank before the actual belt promotion so he was going to be promoted anyway), the coach just wanted a more significant occasion to award him with it. Coaches do this all the time. It makes receiving the belt that much more memorable when it's tied to a post fight win, whether it's in a cage or on a podium. Just something to consider. Of course it would have been more fitting if the fight went to the ground, let alone if he won by a BJJ submission, but it will still be a significant and memorable belt promotion. Likely much more so than if it was just received after a standard BJJ class.
