That first build up would’ve been better if had 3 notes of bass after the first in the sequence. I was piecing it together in the hands of my brain and practicing it. Then I knew that I had to share it with you guys. Play around with it and let me know what you think. God bless

I’m not trying to hate, and I’m relatively new to beatbox. Been watching for a couple years now. I know that Alem is like a legend, but I don’t see it… maybe because it’s more technique then musicality. Any explanations are welcome. Again, not trying to hate.

I agree. Ive been a fan of Alem for years but this is kinda boring to me. Like it just doesn't hit hard enough. His skill level and difficulty level is high but its just not as interesting or original as other beatboxers

For me it's a combination of a few things... of course everyone knows his technique is out of this world, he executes extremely difficult combos and patterns near flawlessly. his elimination structure was also very good, having a single 'theme' that carried over through the whole elim rather than 2-3 routines put together (which some people did). on top of everything, he is powerful. the elimination wasn't perfect and with 0 mistakes, but he executed it so well with power and his energy. you can scroll down to his instagram and see some of the combos/patterns he posts, it helped me understand the difficulty of what he really does + how clean and fast he can do them

@@niku1840 Not denying his technique been incredibly complex and that’s why beatbox purists love him. Personally I prefer a little style and unique sounds rather then just pure speed and technical routines. Just because something is harder doesn’t make it better in my opinion

@@combot2001 It sounds like the style is just not your preference then, which is fine! The original commenter was just wondering why people see him as a legend, and i gave my view on it. Of course harder does not necessarily = better, but I personally think he did a really good job of combining his percussive technicality with the melody/story he created in his elimination. if you don't agree with that, no problemo; beatbox has so many styles of course not all of them will be for someone's taste.
