Those sweats, shakes, and shit are what makes it so hard to sober up... Even if you manage to get those withdrawals sorted out you still have the uphill battle of figuring out what drove you to drink so much in the first place. If you dont you could go right back to it and end up back at the bottom of the barrel having to manage withdrawals all over again... When your body is totally breaking down and you feel like total shit, your hands shaking, sweating, feeling totally shitty and you know if you just have another drink or whatever youll feel better its damn hard not to have just one more to feel better.... Nobody wants to voluntarily feel like shit. Same with every other addiction I guess. Best of luck to anyone fighting that battle.
