Loved this deck. I built an Alesha deck a while ago to force myself to play Red and White and I really like this list here. My list is more Humans based and lower budget, but I definitely have cards to add thanks to this video. And I didn't even realize Yawg Daddy is 2 power til now, and even a Human to boot. Nice.

I really enjoyed the video, but am baffled at why you would cut Lightning Greaves and Path to Exile. Would love a quick explanation as to why you feel they don't fit into the deck.
@NitpickingNerds5 жыл бұрын
I think the difference between Path and Swords is pretty large, and there are better options in Mardu for removal. As for greaves, we usually don't like playing it since it is a total blank except to protect your commander. There are other more on-brand ways in the deck to keep her safe like Selfless Spirit, Recon, Eldrazi Displacer, Karmic Guide, and Sun Titan. I think if you look at it as a one for one change, Reconnaissance is what we included instead.

14th patron. I deserve my own legendary card now!

You are pushing the generous patron card to the limits of what can fit on the card. 😂

"expensive" in Urza is 30 bucks, while Yawg is like 8...

Since yawg has protection from humans, wouldn’t that mean you can’t fetch him with Alesha?

Why cut panharmonicon when everything has ETBs?

The new Sling Gang Lieutenant could be a fun card to play. I also believe that Yawgmoth is stronger than Urza. Are there any good combos with Soulgorger Orgg that you guys know of?

The closest thing to a combo is near death experience
@crovax13755 жыл бұрын
@@NitpickingNerds surviving until the next upkeep would be an issue. I suppose also having Glacial Chasm or something similar might help. I was thinking about a combo with Endless Whispers and Blood Seeker for the Soulgorger Orgg or some kind of life gain synergy with Children of Korlis

Playing faithless Looting from the grave is not card disadvantage? Oh really? If Looting is your last card in hand and you play it and flashback it you still have 0 cards in hand. So yeah its insane in this deck/ strategy. But it IS still card disadvantage.
@NitpickingNerds4 жыл бұрын
Faithless looting is initial card disadvantage, but from the graveyard it isn’t. +2/-2 cards you stay the same after

I've grown tired of Commander decks that wins more than 80% of the time by comboing. Every time it is like: I play this, no answers, okay it do this and this infinetely and I just win. Ah ok fine, lets shuffle and start another one. When I won like this I found it boring, my opponents don't see the fun in it, and in the end this is no fun for everyone. So I moved from that. That and also from decks that synergise too much like turns last 10+ min and it comes back to you again after 30 min in 4 player commander game. This end up being boring. Boring watching someone playing this, untap 4 lands, play this, sac this, return to battlefield this, trigger this etb effect, draw a card, play the card, trigger this and this....10 min later, ok turn.

While I kiiiinda agree on it for me it depends on how fast and reliable a combo can be obtained and also how much mana it costs. like.. if you win with infite combat steps through your 12 mana Turn 14 Boros combo.. GG man, you earned that. If you win T2 with demonic Consultation on a casual table - shame on you. The combos in this deck are like... 11 mana or something? Who cares? If you can assemble a 3 card combo and have survived long enough sure win this way. I dont think ANYTHING would be more boring than 4 people trying to deal 120 damage via combat , while 1 person wipes the board every 3d turn. Like... where is the fun in that huh?
