I thrifted an old book when I lived in Houston. It had a property tax receipt from 1897 of a famous Dr ( I looked him up). I love old things like that . Love the lamp. I have a large table one like that on my bedside table, also from Houston. I pd 1.25 but a lady in line offered me $50...didnt sell.

I love when you reference your adopted ancestors; and the marriage certificate is the perfect addition. You should research the names!! The brass cross is so nice and the "plant stand" is a great find. So many good finds....my goodness, the more you show the more I oooh and ahhh. The vanity jar is lovely, I have yet to come across one that wasn't priced rediculously high. Recently purchased a man's clothing brush with ebony wood and was a steal for only $2.

The triangle pieces are worn on points of a collar of a men’s western shirt. I do like your idea to DYI them as tiny tussy mussys which sounds like such a clever idea. ❤ TFS All your finds were very nice and go well with your decor. The wooden hand carved letter openers are really pretty too.

Hmmm. I’m trying to think if I have, or had, a tussie mussie, but didn’t know what it was. I used to have some of those vase stands and the carved ones with the ivory inlay. Bought them back in the 80’s. I do have a lamp very similar to the one you got. I bought it new 30 years ago but it has an ivory shade. The little area you have yours in looks just stunning! I Love Robin’s finds and how she uses her pieces too! She’s the reason I picked up a little ironstone covered dish like yours, but with a delicate light red/raspberry colored print, because she collects that print too. 😂 I got it for a steal at $5! I just enjoy seeing the things you find and how you decorate with them. They’re very intentional and perfectly executed. I have tried to find vintage coin purses and small black handbags to recreate the same look as your inspiration idea, but in 7 years I’ve only found 1 handbag.😢 I can’t wait for the follow up video

*Hello, sweet friend❣️ FYI, what you thought is an ironstone soup tureen is actually a covered vegetable dish to keep mashed potatoes or cooked vegetables hot before serving. 🔥 😊 Soup tureen's have the notch in the lid for the ladle and they are usually much deeper; that is how you will be able to tell the difference. Your ironstone vegetable dish is beautiful❣️ Don't feel badly; you're not the only person who has made this tiny mistake, LOL. 😊 I had to advise another KZbinr a couple of weeks ago about the same thing - and she is in her 50's, and MANY people young and old make this mistake ALL of the time. 😊 I have an advantage, because I grew up with Antique Dealers as parents, so don't feel badly, Danielle. 🥰* *I ABSOLUTELY L❤VE ALL of the things in your thrift haul today...you really HIT THE JACKPOT, Danielle‼️💟😁 I think your carved wooden plant stand is marvelous - and your snake plant looks so fabulous on your stand next to your coat tree❣️ The fringed lamp is SO PRETTY 😍 - and I have never seen one like that with a RED lampshade‼️😁 They are usually white or cream-colored, so that was a RARE find. Also, those 3 burgundy doilies are BATTENBURG LACE - and I HAVE NEVER IN 60 YEARS SEEN BURGUNDY BATTENBURG LACE...I am a little jealous...and yes, put one under your lamp - it will look SO NICE next to your "Adopted Ancestors" on your little desk at the top of your stairs. 😏 Your Tussy Mussy is fantastic and looks so good on your wall❣️ I L🤎VE your two intricately carved wooden letter openers...they are like pieces of art‼️ And Danielle, the pair of what you thought were earrings are actually Shirt Collar Points that are mostly worn by Cowboys 🤠 on the collar tips of their Western Shirts to fancy them up. They are usually worn on a night out going two-stepping or line dancing. 😉*

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Hi Danielle, awesome to see you tonight! The cross is a great find, but for true believers in Jesus Christ, Jesus is not left on the Cross…when He died He was taken off the Cross, placed in the tomb, then on the third day….He arose! Hallelujah! It’s crucial that Jesus is Alive…and not left on the Cross! When we as Christians wear a necklace with a Cross on it…it is without Jesus still on it! Jesus rose from the dead! It’s significant that He isn’t on the Cross anymore! ❤
