WOW great drumming and a fun review! Thank you!

The Max 's module IS actually dual zone, it's the pads that aren't. I noticed the leads had stereo jacks and tried a Roland pad and it's dual zone!

I just bought a Roland TD07-KVX kit back in June during "drum month" from Sweetwater, and I married it to my existing TD-6V brain with 3 Alesis Nitro Mesh pads set up in a concert drum (RotoTom) arrangement over my brains and hi hat. I have noticed the Nitro Mesh are triggering BETTER than my more expensive Roland PD-8X's which are running through the new TD07-KVX brain. The Alesis pads are running through the older TD-6V brain, and respond better, but not as good as my 36 year old PD-21 pads that were finally starting to fail on me after bashing on them in 2 Christian metal bands (1987-89) and doing praise and worship since 1987, which is WHY at almost 64 y.o. I purchased the newer Roland TD07-KVX on my current budget without spending a fortune on higher dollar ($3K+) V-Drums. Love what Cooper expertly did on video as always!

I was wondering whether to buy this or the NUX DM 210 - I think the Alesis is the better buy as it has 3 way eq control (in the kits, not the individual pads) and it also has 2 extra trigger inputs - the NUX has one extra trigger and no EQ, BUT it does have dual zone pads around the kit, the Alesis only has a dual zone snare. I have dual zone on all my Roland TD11KV s pads and cymbals, it's not a deal breaker to me. ALESIS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'd rather have the eq and 2 triggers than dual zone pads. But both kits sound good. I have zero interest in using drum software, the module must sound good enough with the need for that, also its more hassle and more that can go wrong and more to cart along to gigs and practices.

I have the Alesis nitro mesh kit 8 piece with the old drum module and currently it won’t even turn on. Can I swap the old drums module out for this newer model module?

Can you set up for left handed? If so, do you have a video on that? This is my first set. Thanks!!

Can someone help? Can you play the nitro max through a speaker at the same time as listening to it through headphones. The left/right output on the back of the nitro max module to a 3.5mm jack into the speaker and headphones connected to the nitro max module? It won’t work for me 😩

I know it’s a lot about feel but I’m a newbie, just bought alesis command se, I noticed you have the snare pretty low, what’s better for a beginners?I don’t want to get used to something and then find out later it would’ve been easier to have it some other way, last question, with the hi hat, should I keep it flat or a slight tilt toward me? Thanks and I know this is basic stuff, I just want to make sure I don’t get used to something then have to change it later………

Hi, great video. Question: Can I use Amazon Echo to transmit music via Bluetooth to the Alesis receiver and play both together with output to a speaker via 1/4 inch cable and amp? Thanks

Hey, Michael. Thanks for your interest. That’s a good question. I’m not 100% sure but I don’t believe that is possible on this one. Hope this helps. Jason Thiele, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1391, jason_thiele@sweetwater.com

Hi! Does this kit have a choke on the the crash and ride cymbals (not the hi hat). Also, one thing I'm looking for is a kit with a snare that can do the snare head sound, rimshot sound, and side-stick sound all in one drum sound in the module. Thanks! Great video by the way! I'm half way through. Still watching!

They look like the same cymbals as before. I honestly don't expect multiple zone cymbals until you reach like the 800+ dollar zone.

@JammingWithFlareYT Жыл бұрын
It's only been like a year since the strike pro SE came out, Not exactly enough time to just release a new pro level kit. And also, At that price range, Just go with roland or get a decent acoustic kit.

@@JammingWithFlareYT you’re right about that. I actually just bought a VAD307, I’m loving it 🤷🏽♂️

Hello. Which headphones would be the best for this kit? I bought the alesis ones but they are very low volume and seem to only play out of left ear. thanks

Hey, jimg6743. That is a good question. That is very subjective. I for one love the Vic Firth Headphones: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/IsoHdphV2--vic-firth-sih2-stereo-isolation-headphones I hope this helps. I will probably buy it! Is it possible to pair the drum on your cell phone with a Bluetooth headset at the same time?
@sweetwater10 ай бұрын
Hello, jean-philippedionne6686! The Alesis Nitro Max’s drum module can only act as a Bluetooth receiver. In other words, it cannot transmit audio to a Bluetooth headset. It can only receive Bluetooth audio. In order to hear the kit and the audio you are sending over Bluetooth to it, you will need to use the headphone out or the main ¼” outputs on the module itself. Anyone tried putting a different bass drum on it so that you can play double bass? Like a Yamaha KP65 which I know works on the Nitro Mesh. I wonder if the same will apply here.
@munkeslamik270811 ай бұрын
Yamaha won’t work but there are other bass drums you can put on it. Alesis has one it costs like 130$ CAD
@RebelEdits10 ай бұрын
You can play double bass on it currently. The head is big enough. I currently use one.
@Enochwonder Жыл бұрын
Is there enough room for a double pedal on that bass pad?
@sweetwater Жыл бұрын
Hey, Enochwonder. It can handle a double pedal if the beaters are close enough together. I believe the manufacturer doesn’t recommend using a double pedal, though. I hope this helps. Jason Thiele, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1391, jason_thiele@sweetwater.com

It's a sponsored video, they're not going to not recommend what they're paid to review.
@memonomoto7419 Жыл бұрын
It depends on what you're gonna use it for. If it's just for practicing for beginners, then yes this is highly recommended. If you're like some of the gear snobs around here who's looking for a $2,000 sound quality on a $400 drum kit, then you're probably gonna be disappointed, lol. As an entry level drum kit, I don't think you can go wrong with this one

Can you crash the ride ?
@sweetwater9 ай бұрын
Hello, babooll5632! The short answer is no, you cannot because the ride cymbal is a single zone cymbal, meaning it can only trigger one sound. That said, the module has some additional dual zone inputs on it. If you were two purchase a dual zone cymbal, that would allow you to crash the ride. Thanks for the interest! Most if not all lower end kits have very generic, fake sounding modules. You’ll have to spend quite an amount of money to get good sounds.
@randyadams3542 Жыл бұрын
I think Alesis has done an amazing upgrade for $399.00 . I just wish the rack was taller. You can upgrade your sounds, so if you dont like the factory sounds, get what you like, compared to spending $1,200 on a low end Roland this is value price point. This is a great practice kit for the novice or pro

Raise that snare pad up to around your navel, then adjust the surrounding pads to match and you'll be less likely to develop a Buddy Rich arched back.
