Hey all, on watching this back I realise I talk about having Bluetooth or wireless functionality to connect to headphones or speakers, the reality of that would be pretty terrible as there would be a delay from hitting the pad to hearing the sounds, so it’s not really practical. A guy can dream though. 😅🤘🏻

I’ve been playing for 30 years, just bought one of these kits for the sake of space saving and noise reduction so the issues with the pedal/snare stand won’t effect me as I already have my own stand/pedal that I can use and well happy that I caught your video so I can avoid the snare issue from the start!
@TheEdgeOfChairs2 ай бұрын
I put the snare where the module is usually mounted so it is sturdier having two leg support, it also mounts it higher since I'm tall. I then mounted the module on the arm meant for the snare and swung it outside the kit. It's a little harder to reach and see, but it's working out way better this way.
@IansDrumsandBass5 ай бұрын
I've had no issues with the snare, but I've noticed that some people set the kit up incorrectly by having the top toms L brackets on the inside of the rack instead of the outside. That means that the toms are closer to you, and then you have to move the snare too far along the horizontal cross piece towards you, and that's probably where the issue starts. Also if you're a hard hitter with heavy sticks that ain't gonna help either. I agree with you, students WACK drums and then you have problems, I've had no issues with my Max and it's been 3 months.

I just ordered a Nitro Max kit, and I will try using a snare stand for the snare... glad I kept my snare and stand when I sold the rest of the kit!

Thank you for this. I've had the kit a week and I love it ...but I've already noticed a few issues. It could be my headphones, but I've noticed some of the sounds echo regardless of whether I change the reverb or not. The HH splash also isn't as intuitive as I thought it would be compared to an acoustic kit, which is obv instant.

I'm thinking of adding the Alesis Nitro Max expanded to my collection, together with my Tama double bass pedal, Tama snare stand and Millenium E-hi hat, but however I am an EXTREMELY hard hitter. So I might have to learn to not hit hard?
@iray20004 ай бұрын
Great follow up. On a real drum kit it's obvious when you're hitting rather than playing an instrument. On a real kit the people you play with will let you know when you're too loud.

Quick question I haven't found an answer for yet, can I replace the Kick drum tower & kick drum pedal in the Nitro Max with a simple pedal like from Turbo Max kit (or other brands)? Such that I could get my kid started on a more quite setup (in an apartment building) and be able to use the drum tower & kick pedal at a later point maybe from time to time in a different rehearsal space. Thank you!

I'm torn between getting the alesis nitro max or the millenium MPS-450. Ik there are mixed reviews about the alesis but it seems really good. Idk much about the millenium so I'm wondering if you could help and tell me which is the best to get . Thank you

It does, just connect USB and choose the correct Midi in on that channel. Usually "All In" will work, just arm the track.

The bell sounds with some of the rides when you hit them hard, it's meant to do that. Not all the rides have this feature.

Is there any backwards compatibility parts with the nitro mesh. As the snare would be a good upgrade size wize. I'm guessing the model is in no way compatible.

As owner of both kits, yes, they are forward and backwards compatible.

Hi, is it possible to tilt forward the snare and toms a little bit or are the connections rigid with no ability to tilt them forward like an acoustic set can? They look awkwardly flat . Thanks
@Crash_Bang10656 күн бұрын
Experienced drummer here: Yes, you SHOULD tilt the toms a little bit towards you on ALL drum kits. But not the snare. If you are willing to spend some extra I would recommend the Tama HS80PW Snare Stand.

I am determined to buy one these. Because of the enourmous tax and the economic crisis in my country this kit is worth 2 months of national minimum wage salary, so I want to do my research properly before I invest. I live in an apartmant building so the kit being quiet is very important to me. Do you think that this kit is quiter than most or got any tips so I can reduce the noise a bit ? Thank you.
@PracticaPropheticaАй бұрын
There are a few videos where they demonstrate the sound without the module involved. The only problem I've ever heard is that the bass drum (kick) can cause a thumping that might be heard in the apartment below. Put a good layer of rubber-bottomed carpet under it, is the recommended solution.

Any tips on how to get it to work? I've had to return two because no sound comes out. Very frustrating.

Hi, did you resolve this? Please note the kit does not come with internal speakers, so an amplifier or headphones is required in order to hear the kit sounds.

For the snare, just buy a cheap snare stand. $25. Furniture risers can "lift" the kit. Buy audio y-splitters to access the other triggers from the toms adding piezo transducers to whatever you want to hit. You can also add low-volume cymbals with piezo transducers. A low-cost Yamaha FP-7210A pedal is a good upgrade too. This kit can really be expanded.

What you think about the titan 50 vs this?
@jays978126 күн бұрын
This is much better remember Titan is a Chinese brand. It's not a real musical brand and this one is a real musical brand. I would say there are on similar price, but I would pick this over titan and I used to own a titan and I will tell you this is way better.

Need to learn how to play I guess. I bought this kit for practice and I play heavier stuff than nirvana. We're talking Exodus or slipknot. It holds up well for me. Ofc it's not anything like my Yamaha acoustic kit but setup time is where it's at. It takes me about an hour to tear down that kit and my van is packed full. Not with this kit.
