Thanks for the review This is the model I wanted to buy but in France the price of the Nitro Pro is really higher, 800€ here While it costs 599$ in the US So in the end I took the Nitro Max which is 420€

Same here in the uk. It's £650 compared to the nitro max being £400. The upgrades are great but i don't know if I can justify the extra 250

Do not waste your money. The only Alesis e-kit worth buying is the Strata Prime kit.

I just came to buy this kit. I am a beginner, but i will play it in a small place in my desk in appartement. I have bought to start the Nitro Max, but it is a big small in height and the hardware rack he moves every time (light aluminium)...to be honest a big piece of shit...It would be forbidden to sell a crap like that. Why i would to buy now the Nitro max pro? The rack hardware is made of reinforced steel (to dont move anymore), a bit more big , so you can put to more cymbals if you want it too, you get rims on tom pads, and the height adjustable for a tall person, etc... In my case i play it with the Jay Weinberg VST from Mixwave, and it's worth the price. The module isnt very important to me, because i play always throught my computer, so at this point, why not to play it through an VST. I can afford the Strata Prime, but one day, hope in the next two, three years, yes i will buy a real acoustic drumset, because if i want to get the feel, i prefer waiting a bit more and get a real good drumset. Yes a good one costs 10000 bucks with all the stuff to be good for the rest of tour life...but pay 3000 for the Strata Prime, in my case i cant see why, but i am not a professional drummer, so i dont get why i could buy it in my case. But anyway, for practice at home, the Nitro Pro worths the price. Maybe i am wrong, but if its a question of play feeling, you can keep the money and wait a bit more and get something badass to wet your pants. 😂 Anyways, the Nitro Pro it worths the previous one. Plus he has the same Mesh heads as his big brothers and the same rack (but in a small version)...today?? Happy

The Alesis Nitro Pro is better than its predisesor. That said I do not think most of Alesis e-kits are really worth buying, especially if you are a drummer or want to become a good one. The Alesis Strata Prime e-kit is the only one I would concider buying from Alesis. I feel with other e-kit companies you will get a bigger bang for your buck and be much happier with the e-kit. Alesis is known for making budget friendly e-kits and then improving them. As a drummer you want an e-kit that is as close to an accustic drum set as possible. The videos for the Alesis Nitro Pro as well as for there other lower-end budget friendly e-kits make them seem great and worth buying. They are really not as good as the review videos make them to be and they are definitely not worth buying if you truly want to learn to play drums correctly snd properly. The only e-kit Alesis has that is worth considering is the Strata Prime e-kit as it functions, sounds, and feels 99% like an accustic drum set. All the other e-kits Alesis has are just toys of what a drum set should be. They are basically practice pad sets that make drum like sounds. I personally think Alesis needs to work on better higher-end e-kits rather than wasting time, money, and effort upgrading their "toy" e-kits.

For someone that just wants something to practice on and is less than $1,000, and doesn't need the most amazing sounds because it won't be used for recording or live performances, does this not fit the bill? The cheaper Rolands look like a toy to me and are small. They have better sounds, but the feel does not seem transferable to an acoustic to me. Then you have to spend 1500 - 2500 or something on a Roland to get both. No?
