@@robertmartinez1075 so I work at guitar center and we have demo kit I play at all the time when the store doesn’t have much traffic. It’s definitely a huge upgrade from the strike pro se. Especially the hi hat. E kit hi hats are always hit or miss but this is a pretty solid option in my opinion

All I can say is I've had an Alesis as a practice kit for years. Despite having the shit pounded out with 2Bs, quite often drunk, I've only ever managed to snap a cymbal mount. Fresh skins now and then and she's funky fresh all over.

Basically with this kit alesis is trying to dominate the mid range category (very smart strategy) if the solve once and for all the durability problems this is a must buy great way to give the over companies competition nice demonstration.

Dude. THIS IS WHAT I NEED. I really wanted the strata prime when it came out last year. It's just way too much money. This is the same, but smaller and cheaper. I love the quality of everything. Ty for playing master of puppets! I want to know what it will sound like with each genre i play so i will want it more. I'm also 14 and unemployed. I love Alesis Its what got me into drumming. I have a Dm10x kit I bought 12 years ago and all cymbals and heads still play to this day minus the bass pad I had to re-solder it 5 times until I eventually ran out on wire

Yaaaay, Samus doing a new review of Alesis electric drum kit. Absolutely loove playing Alesis I've even played on the Donner DED 200 updated module. Both are absolutely amazing electric drum kits I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who wants to learn how to play drums or those who already play the drums and are looking for a awesome Christmas gift.

This is a crazy good kit for the price, these drum modules are finally starting to sound closer to actual drum plugins, which makes sense considering they pretty much slapped BFD into a module! I'd love to see you review Extinction Level Event by Glenn Fricker and Spectre Digital, I love that plugin, and Glenn is taking care of his wife who had a stroke so he's away from KZbin, I'm sure he'd love the support while he's away!

Alesis has definitely stepped their game up. Few hiccups upon release of their new kits, but looking forward to where they take their product line with future updates.

So far they had atleast 3 updates on the strata prime. Just checked yesterday and there is a new one, atleast to me lol. I haven't check in, I'd say a week or so. The new feature gives us an advance mixer set up or now easy. Advance was always available the easy allows you to adjust all toms, snare, cymbals and bass drum on the knobs all together. So all tom volume up or down. All cymbal up or down. Etc. Pretty cool. Thats all I've noticed as of now. Good to know they are staying on top of it and listening to feedback.

I have had my eye on this kit. I Went to go and try the demo model at Guitar Center last weekend. The Core drum module was all messed up. The drum salesman at store said the module had been acting up for a couple of days and was unusable. Probably from people beating the crap out of the buttons on the module is my guess. He said he had an Alesis tech coming to the store at some point in the week to troubleshoot the problem. I was bummed out, I really wanted to try the kit out. Thanks for the demo. I think I might just buy this electronic kit after a real test run for myself.

The amount of options to fine tune sounds is astonishing. I haven't really even dove into the effects options. I found dialing up the dynamics and a little attack makes a good difference. Also I have the threshold on the hihat at around 3 or 4 otherwise soft hits seem undetected.

Wow, that does sound amazing !!!! I like a lot of the natural kits and the one electronic sounding one sounds like a lot of fun to mess around with. I have the TD27, and I love the playability of the digital hardware. The positional sensing is really good. I don't know where to find one of these sets set up. The Guitar Center near me doesn't have many sets out on display. The ones they have are bottom of the barrel too and destroyed and barley working....lol I guess you can't blame them, but I'd need to play one before switching... I'd love to see a comparison video !!! :-)

I've owned a roland td17 for yearsss. I've upgraded almost every pad since, am as expanded as I can be. (there's no free holes left) This LOWER END strata set, is better in so many ways. I think I'm going to be switching to the prime next year.

going from Roland to Alesis is not a good idea, you will notice difference in latency. So please make sure to play it before making the decision, may be it is just me.

First off, I can watch you play drums all day long! I've been looking more and more at the Alesis setups. Right now, I'm using a Roland TD6 setup with 2 up and 2 down. I do like it as a practice kit, but it's getting a bit dated. Is this expandable with another floor? Anyway, this might be my solution!
