de minuar had a break out start to the season. became the first aussie in 18 years to break into the top 10, and is playing as the A side on rod laver arena matches. I wasn't sure how he would handle to nerves of his newfound position but he is doing it beautifully. hopefully he can make a deep run.

why does De Minaur look so short on TV? he's listed as 6'0", but so is Stan Wawrinka, Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud; even Danil Evans is 5'9" but doesn't look as short as De Minaur

Saw both in person at the US Open practice and they’re both pretty much 6ft. Stan does appear taller than de minaur maybe by like an inch or two. It’s probably because of his massive build. Idk how ATP measures height so there’s that. But it is lowkey strange how de minaur looks like 5’10” on TV but 6ft in real life

Don't know why he was on about getting revenge. If he'd won his match against Sinner and did his job, we wouldn't be talking about revenge. Seems like he wanted to play the lower ra ked player rather than beating Sinner. The Davis Cup is Italy's, this is the Australian Open. He won but it's not revenge. Too late now.

A second string D1 college player could have competed against Arnaldi this day. What an absolute crap shoot. He ended up making De Minaur play bad towards the end. Kid was absolutely lost out there. Not trying to take anything away from the winner but man, what a boring match

When u play someone who's on fire like demanure there's only one way and that is you have to play "angry tennis," Some players, me included, play best tennis when angry. That's the only way to combat these pesky "on fire" players John McEnroe is another good example
