I greatly appreciate how this show 1) didn’t make Alex being gay his whole personality and gave him distinct characteristics 2) didn’t talk about his sexuality literally every two mins like some shows do bc it’s not a big thing, but also didn’t make his sexuality ambiguous or “up for interpretation”. They made him explicitly gay and that’s a fact about him! 3) made him EXTREMELY likable and easy to relate to because it promotes the idea that, again, he’s just another person! 4) showed that gay people aren’t attracted to everyone because for some reason some ppl have this misconception that if someone is gay they have a crush on them (“oh you’re gay? So do you think I’m hot?”) So many showrunners add LGBTQ+ rep but then mess it up and I love that jatp didn’t do that
