this song feels like the time my old bestfriend was going thru addiction with hard drugs and this is exactly how i felt. i missed the times we had and i would reminiscing when we was well. being by her side and seeing her not get out of bed and her skin getting bad everytime i see her. it was painful seeing her going through it, when alex g said “ i want to lie there next to you and make you laugh like i used to” was so relatable, she wouldn’t laugh or smile as much as she used to. so when i came across this song i felt so bittersweet

i went through the worst year of my life last year. I was struggling with severe crippling anxiety and intrusive thoughts about my relationship. I was depressed and nobody was there for me besides my boyfriend. This song really resonates with me because I gave him such a hard time all the time and he still decided to stick beside me. My mental health sucked and I constantly made things hard for us but he decided to work it out for us anyways. Not all of these lyrics with my situation then but it still helps me heal. I thank God for my amazing boyfriend everyday and that he made me better for him. I'm doing just fine now btw and me and my boyfriend are perfectly happy! ❤️
