To be honest about all of these comments , some statements are correct and some are not. Riffs , intervals , chords, etc. you name it music is heard and copied from things we heard in the past. Sometimes it comes out and sometimes it doesn't. It's truly what you make of it. But, yes sometimes there are higher consequences that could happen , or there may not be that all depends on the perception and perspective. Alex G is someone you could say that instead of a journal growing up to use to write in, he instead expresses it with melody , song , and lyrics all completely embellished. He was also my drummer when he was 7-8 years in age and l was honored to have him as that.
