If you had recruited this man to the Brazil squad instead of Juninho in 2006, it would have been very different. In terms of creativity and productivity, Alex is a man who plays with the mind of a magician. I still cannot understand how a football player like Juninho, whose only skill is using set pieces, can be selected for the Brazil squad, but a man like Alex cannot be selected.

You got a valid point about Alex, but allow me to disagree in regard to Juninho. He was way more than just a set piece maker. The guy was a very skilled playmaker that could easily play alongside Alex as an "8" as we call here in Brazil. But for sure, Alex should be in 2002 (regardless of the title) and 2006 squads.
